For the second straight year, Front Porch Arts Collective, Boston’s leading Black theater company, is presenting a “Holiday Feast” of staged readings of Christmas episodes from classic Black sitcoms, at Central Square Theater, December 12–14.

Lyric Stage Boston begins the new year with CRUMBS FROM THE TABLE OF JOY, Lynn Nottage's touching portrait of a family longing to find the light and spark that has been dimmed in their everyday lives.

What did our critic think of NOISES OFF at Lyric Stage Boston?

WINTER WONDERETTES will run from November 29 to December 22, 2024, at Greater Boston Stage Company, offering a festive theatrical experience for the holiday season.

A distant cousin of America’s New Year’s Eve Times Square ball-dropping tradition, “Dinner for One” is an iconic comedy sketch broadcast every New Year’s Eve in countries including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, and Estonia, and on other days of the year in Norway, Australia, and South Africa. British author Lauri Wylie wrote the original two-hander for the stage and it was subsequently recorded for television in 1962.

Lyric Stage will open its 31st season with Forever Plaid - Plaid Tidings, a holiday classic by Stewart Ross. The show runs from November 29 to December 22 at the Lyric Stage Studio.

Michael John Ciszewski brings his acclaimed solo show IF MEMORY SERVES to The PIT on November 15, 2024, following successful runs at the Edinburgh and Philadelphia Fringe Festivals.

This election season, two solo theater artists are coming together to create 'Running for the White House: Two Women, One Hundred Years Apart.' The program is available to stream on demand through November 1 and features two solo plays.

Lyric Stage Boston rings in the holidays with the gift of laughter, outrageous characters, and meaningful time spent with loved ones at Noises Off. Performances begin Friday, November 15 and run through Sunday December 22.
