This October, Flushing Town Hall's wildly popular Louis Armstrong Legacy Monthly Jazz Jam is turning ten! To celebrate the occasion, Flushing Town Hall's current house jazz band will be joined by members of Queens Jazz OverGround.

The mini big band, Down for the Count Swing Orchestra, return to Theatre Royal Winchester on Saturday 9 October with their new show - Legends of Swing.

Single tickets to the Toronto Symphony Orchestra's previously announced 2021/22 season will go on sale September 16, for concerts through to February 2022. Single tickets for the remainder of the season will go on sale at a later date when there are updated capacity limits during the winter/spring months. The first half of the season will feature shorter concerts with no intermission and works selected for smaller ensembles to allow for distance on stage.

Tonight, in their debut show at Don’t Tell Mama, Quentin Harris and Bryce Edwards added their own names to the list of performing teams who use opposition to their advantage. They bill themselves simply as MR. HARRIS AND MR. EDWARDS. If this sounds like a throwback to vaudeville days, it’s not entirely an accident. Harris and Edwards owe much to those old-time show business acts and most of their musical material is drawn from the Great American Songbook and from jazz standards. Quentin Harris knows a great deal about jazz and plays piano in the style of Oscar Peterson and many of the other jazz greats. Bryce Harris is a charmingly off-kilter one-man band, who plays ukulele, banjo, and the world’s most cumbersome looking kazoo. His style is bombastic and more than a little Jolson-esque. Both men are young, still in school, in fact, and so their show is a little rough around the edges as they find their footing. But they have the bones of a really interesting and unique act.

Flushing Town Hall has announced that its popular Louis Armstrong Legacy Monthly Jazz Jam will once again be held in person at the historic building in Queens starting Wednesday, September 8 at 7:00 PM (ET) as the venue continues its reopening to artists and the public.

Since it first moved to a virtual format in April 2020, the monthly Jazz Jam has been one of Flushing Town Hall's most popular, recurring events during the pandemic, bringing thousands of jazz lovers from across the globe together online around a monthly theme. 

Kimmel Cultural Campus has announced the much-anticipated return of in-person performing arts across their venues: the Kimmel Center, the Academy of Music, and the Merriam Theater. On September 18, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., Kimmel Cultural Campus will host a grand reopening event in Commonwealth Plaza to celebrate the start of the 2021-22 season.
