BWW REVIEW: The Goree All-Girl String Band Forges A Path To Freedom (And Audience's Hearts)
by Victoria Ordin
- Aug 6, 2017
One of five shows singled out as “ones to watch” at the prestigious 2017 New York Musical Festival festival, THE GOREE ALL-GIRL STRING BAND successfully couches a message about redemption through music in a consistently funny play about a female prison in Texas circa 1938.
