New Season of AMERICAN IDOL Kicks Off With Star-Studded Premiere Week

Last summer, the "American Idol" bus visited 24 cities across the nation in search of a superstar. As previously announced, viewers at home will be able to follow the inspiring journey starting SUNDAY, MARCH 3 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, when the first crop of Idol hopefuls audition for their shot at a ticket to Hollywood. The cross-country audition tour will move forward with an all-new episode on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EST), rounding out a talent-filled premiere week. New episodes will continue on Sunday, starting MARCH 10 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT), and adds Mondays for five consecutive weeks, starting MARCH 18 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT).
Little Big Town To Host MusiCares Dolly Parton Tribute

Multi-GRAMMY®-winning artists and current GRAMMY nominees Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook of Little Big Town have been announced as hosts of the 2019 MusiCares®Person of the Year tribute concert honoring Dolly Parton on Feb. 8. GRAMMY winner Yolanda Adams, current GRAMMY nominee Jon Batiste, past GRAMMY nominee Cam, current GRAMMY nominee Brandi Carlile, GRAMMY winner Jennifer Nettles, and current GRAMMY nominee Margo Price will join the performance lineup at the star-studded annual fundraiser for MusiCares, the signature health and human services charity founded by the Recording Academy. Previously announced performers include Leon Bridges, Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood, Miley Cyrus, Lauren Daigle, Vince Gill, Don Henley, Norah Jones, Shawn Mendes, Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson, Katy Perry, Linda Perry, P!NK, Mark Ronson, Mavis Staples, and Chris Stapleton. GRAMMY winner Dolly Partonwill close the evening's performances. Greg Phillinganes will be the musical director.
ABC Announces Music-Themed Episodes of AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE

“American Housewife” will air two special music-themed episodes this spring. The “American Idol” episode, airing TUESDAY, MARCH 19 (8:00-8:30 p.m. EDT), includes special appearances by music industry forces and the superstar judges of ABC's “American Idol,” Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, along with Emmy® Award-winning host and producer Ryan Seacrest. The episode follows Taylor's (Meg Donnelly) dream of becoming a musical superstar. Katie (Katy Mixon) and Greg (Diedrich Bader) are skeptical when Taylor announces she will use her college fund to travel to Los Angeles, audition for “American Idol,” wow the judges and become an overnight sensation; but Taylor's passion is undeniable.

WYO Theater to Welcome The Ten Tenors

The TEN Tenors, one of Australia's most famous musical exports, return to the WYO Theater on Saturday, December 8 at 7:30pm to perform repertoire from their hit album Our Christmas Wish. Opening the evening will be a 15 person local choir directed by Suzie Schatz-Hills. Selections from the Ten Tenors include traditional standards such as 'Joy to the World' and 'O Holy Night,' as well as John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over),' 'Feliz Navidad' by Jose Feliciano, 'White Christmas' by Irving Berlin, and Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You.'

The stars of country music gathered for the 56 th annual American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Country Music Awards on Monday, November 12, at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville. The writers and publishers of country music's most-performed songs of the past year were honored before an invitation-only audience of notable Nashville songwriters, top country artists and music industry leaders.
