According to Deadline, the biopic about Sammy Davis, Jr. now has been set up at Paramount Pictures, where producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has his overall deal. The project is on the development fast track, soon to be hiring a writer and a director to make the feature film about the dancer-singer-actor-musician to becoming a reality.

This Friday, 15 June, Luxembourg saw its capital host the festival known as Fete de la Musique, a national event that lasts six days and which welcomes to the streets countless musicians and bands. Most of the performances took place in the centre of Luxembourg City, yet four other neighbourhoods had their own points of interest, bringing the total number of stages up to twenty-six. The Grand Duchy might be small but, for what it lacks in size, it makes up in a vibrant and outgoing international community.

Hampton Court Palace Festival kicked off in spectacular style last night with an incredible set from Lionel Richie. The ABC Television Network announces May sweeps programming, airing through May 23, including series finales of 'Once Upon a Time,' airing May 18; and 'The Middle,' which completes its nine-year run with a special one-hour episode on May 22.

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) will host its 31st annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards on Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Los Angeles. ASCAP will honor the popular 90s R&B group Xscape with the ASCAP Golden Note Awardduring this year's ceremony, and members Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, Tamika Scott and LaTocha Scott will be on hand to accept. The event will also honor ASCAP songwriter and publisher members with awards for the most performed ASCAP songs of the past year on the R&B, hip-hop, rap and gospel charts.

Variety has reported that the American Idol finalists will once again hit the road on a tour to be announced on the popular television program this Sunday. 

The journey continues as America's beloved singing competition series “American Idol” is set to return for its second season on The ABC Television Network for the 2018-2019 season. Following the historic revival of the beloved series on ABC, the fan favorite will set out once again on a nationwide search to discover the next singing sensation.
