Philadelphia native, Kimmel Center ShowStoppers alumnus, and American Idol contestant Michael J. Woodard is returning home to spend time with high school students before heading back to Hollywood. The students are currently participating in the Kimmel Center's free after-school, musical theater program, ShowStoppers. Woodard's stellar performances have landed him a coveted seat in the Top 24 on American Idol.

Lionel Richie visits 'The Talk' and reveals a 'wild' tale about writing 'We Are The World' with Michael Jackson at his house. 'Michael loved to collect animal and reptiles.... so right in the middle of writing this song. We were eating downstairs and there was this dog barking and we heard... 'shut up, shut up' so I said 'What's going on, Michael?' And he said, 'That's the bird having an argument with the dog.' Now it gets worse,' recalls Richie. 'I'm lying on the floor working on the lyrics to 'We Are The World' and I hear 'hssss'....'hssss' and I'm looking at Michael and all of a sudden I'm looking out the corner of my eye and the albums on the wall are falling down....and there's an albino python. And he goes, 'There he is Lionel, we found him, we found him. We knew he was in the room somewhere, Lionel. He wants to come out and play with you'...I was screaming like the last woman in a horror movie. I was screaming so loud.'

Brass Funkeys, Jocee, Ollie Howell and the National Youth Orchestra have all announced they will be supporting this year's Give a Gig Week with exclusive shows across London. In addition, YolanDa Brown, Chair of Youth Music, will be supporting Give a Gig Week via a show in Sydney. Give a Gig Week is Youth Music's flagship fundraising initiative, Youth Music supports 350 music-making projects across the country for children and young people experiencing challenging circumstances.

Country music singer Scotty McCreery (winner of American Idol season 10), who is currently on the country charts with his Top 3-and- rising smash hit single Five More Minutes, will host the premiere show today, TUESDAY, FEB. 27 at 5:00 p.m. PST/ 8:00 p.m. EST. Legendary Soul Man Sam Moore Honored With Trailblazer Award At The 2018 Nancy Lieberman Charities Dream Ball

The Legendary Soul Man Sam Moore was honored with the Trailblazer Award at the annual Dream Ball Gala on Monday, February 19 at the Bomb Factory in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas. The gala is produced by Nancy Lieberman Charities, a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes healthy lifestyles and educational opportunities for young girls and boys, and is dedicated to expanding and ensuring that educational and sports opportunities exist for economically disadvantaged youth. Moore was presented with the Trailblazer Award by former Dallas Police Chief David Brown, and also performed a short set during the program, garnering rave reviews. Fellow honoree Billy Crystal was joined by Bo Derek, Tony Dorsett, Deion Sanders, Jose' Guzman, and Spud Webb, among other celebrities and local dignitaries, who were also in attendance. The Dream Ball Gala is one of several annual charity events organized by Nancy Lieberman Charities.
