Over his four-decade career in the entertainment industry as a multi-award winning celebrity talent executive, producer, writer and occasional performer, Brian Edwards has worked with some of the biggest names in show business, not to mention some of the most beloved gay icons: Donna Summer, Joan Rivers, Cindy Crawford, Susan Sarandon, Melissa Rivers, Whoopi Goldberg, Farrah Fawcett, Shirley Jones, Naomi Judd, and Vanessa Williams, just to name a few. His debut book, published in late 2013 and titled, Enter Miss Thang, was an unabashedly honest and side-splitting memoir which became a national best seller and received several awards along the way, including top honors at The National Indie Excellence Awards, The International Book Awards and the IBPA Awards, ultimately becoming the most honored LGBT non-fiction book of 2014. Never one to let the party end, Edwards has just published his follow-up, which drops Labor Day Weekend, with even more insider tales, titled, I Might Have Been Queen (And Other Things I Didn't Mention Before).

by Sean Fallon
- Aug 12, 2019
On Friday, August 9, I had the pleasure of seeing the inaugural production of Downtown Cabaret Theatre's Decades in Concert series, which is THE SOUNDS OF THE SEVENTIES. This approximate two hour performance includes nearly fifty different songs, performed by four extremely talented cast members. Mikayla Petrilla, Saige Bryan, Robert Peterpaul, and Everton Ricketts all have incredible voices, strong stage presences, tremendous acting skills, tight stage chemistry with each other, and a positive attitude of genuinely enjoying their performance, radiating positive energy all throughout this packed house! The choreography by Jennifer Kaye helps highlight the excellent dancing and synchronization skills from this first rate cast.

BWW Review: Lisa Donahey Throws a Fun Filled BIG BIRTHDAY BASH
by Don Grigware
- Jul 22, 2019
Actress/singer par excellence Lisa Donahey presented her Big 50th Birthday Bash at Feinstein's Upstairs at Vitello's Friday July 19 and did an encore performance Sunday July 21. I attended Friday and had a great time. Donahey has an infectious personality. Her charisma is enormous, as she talks directly to her audience, including them in the repartee - with a bevy of surprises - and has a joyous time doing it. Backed by six extraordinary musicians* with virtuoso musical director David Arana at the keyboard, the show came in at almost two hours, but was so enjoyable, the time flew by, literally.
Donahey had two glorious backup singers Lyndsay Dodoras and Billye Johnstone
