Pop singer Robyn Spangler appeared at Rockwell Table and Stage Sunday December 16 for a cd release party to celebrate her new album Christmas Is. This lady, if you remember, is nonpareil in her homage to Linda Ronstadt and Billy Barnes, two previous best-selling cds, and has enough warmth to spread Christmas cheer everywhere... all by herself. However, joing her onstage were not one, but three guest stars: Don Most, Joanne Tatham and Shawn Ryan.What a treat for the holidays! 

Birdland will kick-off their exciting month of programming with the following acts:

Grammy Award-winner and two-time Emmy nominee Steve Tyrell returns to Cafe Carlyle, April 16-27. Steve Tyrell is currently celebrating his 14th anniversary performing in Cafe Carlyle's revered holiday slot, having taken over for Bobby Short in 2005 after the legend's passing. The New York Times has declared, "Mr. Tyrell is a terrific storyteller… his sizable voice filters Louis Armstrong through Ray Charles and Dr. John." Ten of his eleven albums have achieved Top 5 status on Billboard's Traditional Pop Charts, with his most recent, A Song For You, reaching #1 earlier this year. In October, Steve Tyrell released a 21-song extended edition of his 2008 chart-topper Back to Bacharach. The album, an homage to Tyrell's friend and mentor, Burt Bacharach, features seven additional Bacharach classics.

Consummate singer Robyn Spangler has been resurrecting her singing career for the last ten years with great success. She appears in cabaret from coast to coast and has just released her newest CD Christmas Is. She took time from a busy schedule to talk about the album and her concert appearance at Rockwell Table and Stage on Sunday December 16.

Recorded at Studio 606 in Los Angeles on the legendary Sound City Neve Console (used by Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Dr. John, Pat Benetar, and Nirvana), John Rooney's latest album Joy represents a significant leap forward in his songwriting.  Rustic, soulful, and endlessly searching in his observational wit, John's skill is complemented beautifully by the powerful production of Don Dixon (R.E.M.), whose elegant touch at the recording console gives the record a bright, driving, yet emotionally rich sonic palette - a lush mix of groovy soul and jangle pop.  

Voting for the BroadwayWorld Cabaret Awards is open! The BWW Cabaret Awards honor exemplary performers and productions in New York from November 1, 2017 to October 31, 2018. Nominees in all categories excluding Special Event - Solo and Special Event - Multiple needed to have performed all or the majority of their shows (at least two of three shows) during this eligibility period.

The McCallum Theatre presents Mariachi Sol de Mexico® and Merri-Achi Christmas on Sunday, December 16, at 7:00pm. The show is a colorful and traditional Mexican holiday celebration full of seasonal songs, dance, and festive merriment performed by one of the nation's premier ensembles, Mariachi Sol de Mexico® de Jose Hernandez. How is Christmas celebrated in the southwest? With traditional carols played by a mariachi, of course! Mariachi Sol de Mexico® brings to life a festive, joyous holiday celebration with the blazing sounds of its 13 piece ensemble.

Holidays at the Carlyle will feature selections from Steve Tyrell's newly expanded Back to Bacharach album, his 2018 #1 album, A Song For You, as well as various favorites from the Great American Songbook including songs he has performed in major motion pictures, and of course, holiday classics.

Cortland Repertory Theatre is announcing a full line-up of shows and events for the winter and spring at their downtown performing arts facility, located at 24 Port Watson Street in historic downtown Cortland. Admission prices vary per event.  Starting in January, a series of monthly THIRD THURSDAY TRIVIA NIGHTS are planned for the first four months of the year.  At 7:00 PM on January 17, February 21, March 21 and April 18, trivia buffs in teams of up to 4 people will be challenged to six rounds of five questions in a wide range of topics. This fund raiser for the CRT Youth Programs encourages friendly competition between families, friends and businesses, with prizes for each round and one evening Grand Prize, including CRT tickets. Admission is $5.00 per person and a beer/wine cash bar will be available.

Joni Mitchell, master songsmith and storyteller, eight-time Grammy winner and folk music pioneer is the inspiration for  JONI, Morrison Hotel Gallery's upcoming photography exhibit and sale opening on Friday, November 16th   at the Sunset Marquis Hotel location in Los Angeles, the New York City gallery on Prince Street in SoHo and the gallery in Maui at Mick Fleetwood's General Store and restaurant. The exhibit will be up through December 10th.

Grammy Award-winner and two-time Emmy nominee Steve Tyrell has remastered his classic Back to Bacharach album and has added seven new songs. The expanded 21-track edition is by New Design Records and Warner Brother's East/West Records. The new collection is available now HERE.

Tony Award-winners Lillias White & Cady Huffman will join twin brother singer-songwriters Will & Anthony Nunziata in concert on Sat. Nov. 17 at 7pm at The Green Room 42 to celebrate the release of their new Adult Contemporary album Love Always (released 11/16).

Multitalented twin brother singer-songwriters Will & Anthony Nunziata have officially partnered with one of the nation's leading breast cancer non-profits, Susan G. Komen®. The original song “The Gift Is You” from their soon to be released album Love Alwayswill be used in upcoming campaign videos for the organization in 2018 & 2019. The song was written as a response to their mother's breast cancer diagnosis (today she is in remission) and the brothers debuted the song during two sold out shows at Carnegie Hall with the 90-piece New York Pops. The song will be available on iTunes with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen. Grammy-winning producer/songwriter Rudy Perez (Christina Aguilera, Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin) wrote the Spanish version “El Regalo Eres Tu” also featured on the album.
