AARP The Magazine today announced the nominees for the upcoming 19th Annual Movies for Grownups® Awards, with A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Bombshell, Little Women, Marriage Story, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Farewell, The Irishman, and The Two Popes contending for Best Picture/Best Movie for Grownups category. For nearly two decades, AARP's MFG program has championed movies for grownups, by grownups, by advocating for the 50-plus audience, fighting industry ageism, and encouraging films that resonate with older viewers. Annette Bening will receive the esteemed Movies for Grownups® Career Achievement Award.

Broadway veteran Elizabeth Ward Land (AMAZING GRACE, MEMPHIS, THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL) will return to The Green Room 42 with her acclaimed show STILL WITHIN THE SOUND OF MY VOICE: THE SONGS OF LINDA RONSTADT for three performances, January 16, 17, and 18, 2020 at 7pm.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces a week of free Millennium Stage performances that pay tribute to the 2019 Kennedy Center Honorees. Events include a film screening in honor of Sally Field (December 3), a Michael Tilson Thomas tribute concert (December 4 at 8 p.m.; note alternate time), a showcase of Linda Ronstadt's most beloved songs (December 5), The Earth, Wind & Fire tribute band (December 6), and a sing-along in honor of Sesame Street (December 7).

Singer Kristin Chenoweth was a guest on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to promote her new album 'For the Girls.' During the interview, Cohen asked Chenoweth if she's heard from Barbra Streisand since doing a cover of Streisand's song a?oeThe Way We Were.a??

Kristin Chenoweth returns to the Broadway stage in a live concert celebrating the release of her new album FOR THE GIRLS (Concord Records, produced by Steve Tyrell), with Music Direction by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, Directed by Richard Jay-Alexander and Presented by James L. Nederlander. The limited engagement continues through November 17, 2019.

Mesa Encore Theatre's current production of Gilbert and Sullivan's THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE pushes the already campy comic opera.

The Reviver Entertainment Grouptoday announced the signing of singer-songwriter Brooke Moriber to Reviver Entertainment for Publishing and Artist Development.  Earlier this year, Brooke released her independent debut single “Cry Like A Girl” to critical praise.  In fact, Parade Magazine called the song a “high-powered Americana-infused track with an empowering message.” A native New Yorker, Brooke is excited to start her journey in Music City.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts' Fiesta Navidad, one of Orange County's most popular and anticipated holiday celebrations, returns to the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall on Thursday, December 19 at 8:00 p.m. This joyful family concert features the renowned Grammy Award-winning Mariachi Los Camperos and dance group Chiquina Palafox.

CNN Films, HBO Max, and Focus Features are partnering for a documentary film about the uncommon life of the late storyteller, explorer, and chef, Anthony Bourdain, to be directed and produced by Academy Award-winning director Morgan Neville (20 Feet from Stardom). Focus Features will first release the documentary exclusively in theaters worldwide before the film premieres on television on CNN and streams via HBO Max. CNN Films and HBO Max will executive produce the film. Neville's Tremolo Productions will produce the film.

Broadway's Future Songbook Series - presented by Arts and Artists of Tomorrow - continues its 2019-20 season on Monday, October 28th in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue and 65th Street. Produced and Hosted by John Znidarsic, the evening spotlights the songs of Anthony Nunziata. Show time is 6PM and ADMISSION IS FREE.

Greenwich Entertainment announced today the acquisition of North American distribution rights to Diana Kennedy: Nothing Fancy, the directorial debut of Elizabeth Carroll. The film about the celebrated chef of Mexican cuisine premiered to glowing reviews at SXSW and Hot Docs earlier this year.

Steve Poltz has been described as a?oequite possibly the most talented and engaging solo performer on this planeta?? by Front Porch Music. The alternative folk singer, songwriter and all-around  free spirit has enjoyed a colorful career since striking out with San Diego cowpunk cult favorites the Rugburns in the early '90s. Along the way, the Canadian-American co-wrote Jewel's 1995 hit 'You Were Meant for Me,' and made a short major-label run of his own. Multi-platinum a?oemystery mana?? Jack Tempchin of Eagles songwriting fame, opens the show.  Poltz and company will take command of the Poway Stage on Saturday, November 2 starting at 8 p.m.
