The history of musical theatre was almost very different. In 1943, a ‘play with music’ called Dark of the Moon narrowly missed out on being selected for out-of-town tryouts in Connecticut, in favour of the genre-defining classic Oklahoma!. Now, after being reworked into a musical that premiered in California in 2023, Dark of the Moon arrives in London for the first time.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL GOES WRONG will play Milton Keynes Theatre for a limited run, bringing the Mischief Theatre-style comedy chaos to the classic Dickens tale.

Mischief's CHRISTMAS CAROL GOES WRONG will return to London's Wyndham's Theatre for a limited West End run, while also embarking on a second UK tour, a North American premiere at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, and an Australian run.

National Youth Music Theatre announced its 50th anniversary summer season in Birmingham, including a large-scale production of WEST SIDE STORY at Birmingham Hippodrome, new musicals, and workshops following a record year of over 1,300 auditions.

The full cast has been announced for DARK OF THE MOON at Charing Cross Theatre. The new musical will run in London with a book by Jonathan Prince. The production is based on the classic play by Howard Richardson and William Berney.

The Last Five Years meets Gravity to introduce their unfortunate lovechild. Daniel steals a spacecraft and leaves Earth; his ex-girlfriend, Emily, is left behind. A trio of scientists breaks down their complicated relationship while Daniel records his days orbiting the planet. On paper, Theo Jamieson’s new musical is a thrilling original concept. The core idea and its philosophical foundations are utterly compelling, so it’s a real shame that they bear very little weight against a shallow plot and uninteresting characters. Adam Lenson (credited as co-creator too) directs with profound empathy for the human race, trying hard to bring to life our harrowing need to feel connected. The material fails him. 

Producers of the West End premiere of new musical, A Mirrored Monet have released a brand-new video trailer as the production continues its run at Charing Cross Theatre through until 9 May.

Witzend Productions and Charing Cross Theatre will present the world premiere of DARK OF THE MOON, featuring GLENN ADAMSON and LAUREN JONES, with performances scheduled from May to August 2026.
