All of GTG's programming, inspired by the works of George Bernard Shaw, are designed to provoke peaceful discussion and activism.

Victoria Bond's Opera CLARA Opens In New York

On Friday, November 8 and Sunday, November 10, the German Forum presents Victoria Bond's acclaimed opera about Clara Schumann, performed in concert. Clara will be performed at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2537 Broadway at 95th St., New York, NY 10025) on November 8 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $30 and are available at this link.

All of GTG's programming, inspired by the works of George Bernard Shaw, are designed to provoke peaceful discussion and activism.

Composers Concordance Presents ESTONIAN CONNECTIONS

On November 10th at 7:30pm at Symphony Space - Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre, Composers Concordance presents 'Estonian Connections,' featuring flutists Maarika Järvi and Monika Matthiesen, bassoonist Martin Kuuskman, and the CompCord Ensemble, conducted by David Rozenblatt. Cultures collide as works by contemporary Estonian composers are heard alongside those from American composers, inspired by the event's theme. Premieres include 'The Man Who Loved Locks,' based on Estonian legend, with music by Gene Pritsker and poetry by Erik T. Johnson. This event is made possible thanks to the generous support of The Estonian Ministry of Culture.

The poor, drunken widower of a towns laundress morns for his wife, La Jesusa. But where does the guilt of this woman's death lie? A woman who has spent her life cleaning the wealthy's dirty laundry. This drunkard is not a good man but he knows intimately the filth we all leave for someone else's tired hands. This unblinking, and often hilarious look at the hypocrisy of the elite is just as fresh and relevant today as when the play first opened in 1960. Who is to blame for the death of La Jesusa? Perhaps all of us.

Gingold Theatrical Group's CAESAR AND CLEOPATRA Begins Tonight

Gingold Theatrical Group (David Staller, Artistic Director) begins performances tonight, Tuesday September 3rd, at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) for this rare revival of Shaw's beloved almost historical comedy Caesar and Cleopatra. This limited Off-Broadway engagement will continue through October 12th only. Opening Night is set for Tuesday September 24th.

From his years at the Alternative Center for International Arts / Alternative Museum to his 26-year tenure at World Music Institute (which he co-founded and directed from 1985 a?" 2011) and his past six seasons as the director of Robert Browning Associates, he has presented over 2,300 concerts of world music and dance from internationally renowned figures and emerging artists from more than 100 countries and regions.

Athena Theatre Is Back At Symphony Space

Charles Ives Concert Series Comes To New York

The Charles Ives Concert Series will make its New York debut at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia on Monday, May 13th at 7:30 PM. The Series is presented by the Danbury Music Centre, an 84-year old community music organization based in Ives's hometown of Danbury, CT.
