Two-time Tony Award nominee Christopher Sieber is back at 54 Below. On August 19 and 20, he'll share stories, songs, and the disasters and triumphs onstage and off from his experience in over 14 Broadway shows including Company, The Prom, Matilda, Spamalot and Shrek! We spoke with Sieber about the upcoming concert, and what he’s been up to lately.

On Monday, July 29, Birdland presented “A Celebration of Maurice Hines – Tappin’ Thru Life.”  This concert honored the life and legacy of show business icon Maurice Hines through his award-winning, autobiographical show “Tappin’ Thru Life.” Check out photos here!

It’s not my photography skills, nor the lighting, camera or lens that make these photos taken last night of Christine Andreas appear to be similar to the ones I shot 10 years ago. Madame Andreas (who speaks lots of French during her show aat 54 Below) has found the secret of ageless, timeless beauty. 

Birdland hosted acclaimed vocalist Gabrielle Stravelli and singer/pianist Billy Stritch, who joined forces on the historic stage on Monday, June 3. The duo teamed up for 'Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other,” a new show of pop music from the 1950s to the present.

I had no idea that 54 DOES 54 has been an annual event for many years, but I am so glad I was there on Sunday night to witness the range of talents and the performances from so many of the staff of the club and personnel from the offices upstairs of 54 Below.

Birdland was thrilled to once again present singer/actress Karen Akers at the iconic club on Monday, May 27.

The 12th annual “Night of a Thousand Judys,” the Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center written and hosted by Justin Elizabeth Sayre, will play at Joe's Pub on Monday, June 3.
