On Friday, September 3, the cast of Broadway's MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, will perform on FOX News' 'Fox & Friends' (6:00AM-9:00AM EST on Channel 44 in New York. Check local listings).
The cast of the long-running, smash hit Million Dollar Quartet, Chicago's beloved musical inspired by the famed 1956 recording session that brought together legendary rock ‘n' roll icons Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley, and throngs of excited music-lovers will rock the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park with a free concert on Tuesday, August 31 at 6:30 p.m. The hour-long performance is open to the public and will feature classic, crowd-pleasing rock ‘n' roll, gospel, R&B and country hits from the musical, including 'Blue Suede Shoes,' 'Great Balls of Fire,' 'Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On,' among others.

Yesterday, August 8, Grammy-winning country music star Larry Gatlin took the stage of the Nederlander Theatre to join the cast of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET in a special performance of the song 'Johnny Cash is Dead and His House Burned Down,' a song written in tribute to Cash who was a friend of Gatlin's. In addition, Gatlin wrote songs that were recorded by Cash, Elvis Presley, and Carl Perkins, three of the members of the real Million Dollar Quartet. Million Dollar Quartet is an electrifying musical inspired by the famed recording session that brought together Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis for the first and only time on December 4th, 1956. The Broadway production is still going strong with the original Chicago cast, three Tony nominations and one win, but don't count the Chicago production out yet. It's still rocking with a new cast now through January 2nd at the Apollo Theater.
Village Theatre has announced casting for their production of the tap dancing spectacular 42ND STREET, directed by Steve Tomkins. This production will have one preview performance in Issaquah on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, and will officially open the following evening, running May 13-July 3, 2010 in downtown Issaquah, July 9-August 1, 2010 in downtown Everett.
