The national tour of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the Tony Award®-winning new musical inspired by the electrifying true story of four rock ‘n' roll icons will open the national tour at PlayhouseSquare October 11 through October 23 as a part of the KeyBank Broadway Series

Rubicon Theatre Company will present, in his first Southern California performance since returning from New York City and his Tony Award-winning role as Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet, Recording Artist Levi Kreis, in a one night only, benefit concert for the theatre, AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH LEVI KREIS, on Tuesday, August 30 beginning at 7:30pm.

The cast of the smash-hit Million Dollar Quartet, Chicago's beloved musical inspired by the famed 1956 recording session that brought together legendary rock ‘n' roll icons Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley, and throngs of excited music-lovers will rock the Thompson Center with a free concert on Friday, August 5 at noon.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) announced that today Jerry Lewis has completed his run as its national chairman. In May, Lewis and MDA announced his retirement as host of the MDA Labor Day Telethon.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the hit musical now playing at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) will perform live on 'Imus in the Morning' this Thursday, August 4 in the 8 AM hour. 'Imus in the Morning' can be seen on Fox Business News (Time Warner Cable Channel 43). The nationally syndicated radio simulcast can be heard locally on 770 AM WABC. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET resumed performances yesterday, July 28, at New World Stages after closing on Broadway on June 12, 2011. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET played nearly 500 performances on Broadway and won a Tony Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award, and received Tony nominations for Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical, a Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Musical Revue and three Drama League nominations including Distinguished Production of a Musical and two Distinguished Performance nominations. The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce its Broadway Las Vegas series as part of the inaugural season for this long-awaited performing arts center. This series will feature the best and brightest of Broadway, bringing full-length versions of THE COLOR PURPLE, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's MARY POPPINS, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET and MEMPHIS to the stage in Las Vegas. These exceptional shows join the ranks of the previously announced WICKED, which will open The Smith Center's first full-length season in August of 2012.
