"One Giant Leap: The Apollo 11 Moon Landing, 50 Years On" brings together renowned astronauts, journalists and acclaimed actors from stage and screen to commemorate a pivotal accomplishment for America and humankind, July 21 at The Town Hall. The event, the brainchild of New York Times science writer and editor Alan Burdick, will begin with remarks by executive editor Dean Baquet, and will feature a star-studded reading of a new short play, commissioned for the occasion from Tony Award-winner J. T. Rogers; and a discussion, hosted by Michael Barbaro ("The Daily"), with NASA veterans of the Apollo missions. The evening is augmented by an interactive VR experience that brings the audience one step closer to the most iconic step in history.

'It's not like I sat at home as a child wanting to be a movie star. I wanted to be Julie Andrews,' said Laura Benanti in an exclusive interview earlier this week with Richard Ridge. The Tony winner and Broadway favorite has played such cherished roles as Louise, Amalia, Maria, Cinderella and many more, but her sights were set early on her real dream role.

Broadway stars Liz McCartney and Bob Stillman will headline Judson Theatre Company's  Souvenir: A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins by Stephen Temperley. Souvenir is the first production of  Judson Theatre Company's eighth season, opening Thursday, May 9, 2019 and running through Sunday, May 12 at the Hannah Center Theatre.

On Monday, October 29, Sing for Hope held its 12th annual Sing for Hope Gala, uniting New York's philanthropic and cultural leaders for a magical evening in support of the organization's programs and commitment to bring the arts to under-resourced areas. The event, co-chaired by Ann Ziff, Renee Fleming, and Muhammad Yunus, with Vice Chairs Dr. William Isacoff and Linda E. The 2018 Broadway Cast Recording of Lincoln Center Theater's new production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY will be released on vinyl on December 14, 2018.

Tony Award winner Laura Benanti assumes the role of Eliza Doolittle in its award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY, directed by Bartlett Sher, for a limited engagement beginning tonight, Tuesday, October 23. She is currently scheduled through Sunday, February 17.

Tony Award winner Rosemary Harris will return to the Broadway stage when she assumes the role of Mrs. Higgins in its award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's My Fair Lady, directed by Bartlett Sher, beginning today at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).
