The Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization has released the second video in its new YouTube Series, "R&H Goes Pop!". In the video, Laura Osnes and Jeremy Jordan perform "The Next Ten Minutes Ago,' a mashup of "Ten Minutes Ago" from Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella and "The Next Ten Minutes" from Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years. The song features arrangements by Benjamin Rauhala and Kurt Crowley.

Roundabout Theatre Company and Fiasco Theater's production of Merrily We Roll Along, featuring a book by George Furth and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, directed by Noah Brody, opened just last night at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). Just last night, Manhattan Concert Productions presented a concert performance of Frank Wildhorn and Nan Knighton's musical comedy The Scarlet Pimpernel at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center. Gabriel Barre (Stage Director) and Jason Howland (Music Director) reunited to lead the cast and creative team. The performance also featured a chorus of over 200 singers from the across the United States, a professional cast and creative team, and the New York City Chamber Orchestra.

The American Theatre Wing announced today that the 2019 Jonathan Larson Grants recipients are Julia Gytri & Avi Amon (book, music and lyrics), Emily Gardner Xu Hall (book, music and lyrics), Andy Roninson (music and lyrics), and Ben Wexler (music and lyrics). Four prestigious grants of $10,000 each, as well as additional support in the form of residencies, concerts, and recording grants, totaling over $50,000, will be presented on Monday, March 19, 2018 at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. The event will feature special performances of the recipients' work.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's comedy hip hop group Freestyle Love Supreme celebrated opening night of their new off-Broadway show last night, February 12.

Birdland mainstays Jim Caruso & Billy Stritch have returned to Birdland Theater with "The Sunday Set," an evening of swinging standards and a few tunes that are hard to categorize! The dynamic duo has one more concert, on Sunday, February 17, with a show at 7:30pm. Bassist Steve Doyle joins the duo.
