FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents L Morgan Lee, Laura Pitt-Pulford and Rob Houchen singing a selection of the work of up-and-coming British musical theatre partnership Katie Lam (lyrics) and Alex Parker (music) on March 8th, 2022, at 9:45pm.

Previews will begin at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre (149 W 45th St) on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, and opening night is set for Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

The Actors Fund and Playwrights Horizons announced today that Obie award-winning actress and theatre maker L Morgan Lee is the 2021 recipient of The Mark O’Donnell Prize, an annual prize presented to an emerging theater artist in recognition of their talent and promise.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company will present the pre-Broadway engagement of A STRANGE LOOP, Michael R. Jackson’s Pulitzer-Prize winning musical. This new musical follows a young artist at war with a host of demons — including the punishing thoughts in his head — in an attempt to capture and understand his own strange loop.

Celebrated performer L Morgan Lee is the second guest artist to be featured in Series 2 of the video series Draw the Circle Wide, created by longtime collaborators Tom Gualtieri and David Sisco. Her episodes will be released on Thursday October 21 and 28 at 12 PM.

André De Shields (Hadestown), Aisha Jackson (Frozen), L Morgan Lee (A Strange Loop), and Ahmad Maksoud (The Visitor) will appear as guest artists in Series 2 of Draw the Circle Wide.

Full casting has been announced for the upcoming pre-Broadway engagement of Michael R. Jackson’s Pulitzer Prize winning musical A STRANGE LOOP at Washington DC’s Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company.

Broadway Records announced today the release of THE RAINBOW LULLABY, the world’s first LGBTQ lullaby album. Conceived by Ryan Bauer-Walsh, the recording includes songs by fifteen LGBTQIA+ writers including Bauer-Walsh, Marc Shaiman (Hairspray) and Debra Barsha (Radiant Baby), with performances by over thirty LGBTQIA+ artists.

The live virtual roundtable presentation will serve as a benefit for the anti-racist, non-profit organization that has served as a home for original culture shifting musicals since 2007. 

Through a robust conversation at the intersection of art and policy, co-moderated by Broadway’s Maria Torres (On Your Feet!, Swing!) and New York Theatre Barn’s own Héctor Flores Jr., acclaimed Latinx leaders of the entertainment industry will take up space to collectively investigate, inspire, and ignite the future of the performing arts.

Open to the public, this re-imagined programming in a COVID-responsible environment will bring headliners in solo performances as well as feature our Cabaret Fellows selected from across the country and Junior Fellows in singular evenings of entertainment.

Broadway Live Cinema Festival, the new film and live performance event honoring Broadway and movie musicals, has announced the lineup of artists set to perform live at the inaugural festival this summer at AMC Empire 25 Theater in Times Square (234 W 42nd St, NYC). 

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts announced today that Jason Robert Brown, Savion Glover, Priscilla López, Susan Stroman, Marisha Wallace, and Christopher Wheeldon have joined the growing list of Broadway stars participating in I'm Still Here: A Virtual Benefit for the Billy Rose Theatre Division, airing June 23, 2021 on Broadway On Demand at 8pm EST and 8pm PST. The fundraiser will help raise critical funds for the Library for the Performing Arts' beloved Theatre Division as it celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.

'A Place for Us: Celebrating Trans and Nonbinary Artists in Musical Theatre', a free virtual event supporting and amplifying the incredible trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming artists in the theatre community from Broadway to the UK will stream on YouTube on Wednesday, June 30th at 7pm EDT.
