Someone Close To You concerns Helen – a fiercely independent spirit – reaching the end of her life; and her son, Ben – who sees risk everywhere.  Ben must confront his aging mother about bringing her home, essentially, to die. Ironically, it is he who learns more about life than he bargained for. 

Stephen R. Rourke, through a special arrangement with the Baltimore Playwrights Festival, presents a special staged reading of Melissa Borgerding's deeply moving drama, Someone Close To You, directed by James A. Goins.

Richard Hackley took his degree in music education and wrote music and played percussion throughout his life. While always a sideline, Richard has stayed active in the industry. Today – being mentored by Broadway producer Ken Davenport as part of his acclaimed TheatreMakers Program – Richard penned a “good old-fashioned musical” with a very timely topic.

Richard Hackley will return to the NY scene with 'Bonjour Mon Amour the Musical' Two special presentations - 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. - on Thursday, February 16 at CAM Studios.

Theatre Producers of Color (TPOC), the newly formed organization committed to supporting the next generation of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) producers by providing access to education, training, and mentorship, announced the return of their annual educational program – “Producing 101,” where aspiring producers are able to learn the fundamentals of commercial producing, including development paths, financing, budgeting, and more, with experienced BIPOC and White ally leaders as their guides, tuition free over 11 weeks.
