Some stage shows just refuse to retreat into the sunset, and one of those is MAMMA MIA!, that enduring, unapologetically giddy jukebox musical, now getting a fun, vibrant new staging at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, under the direction of T.J. Dawson. With performances continuing in the city of La Mirada, CA through Sunday, November 21, this infectiously peppy show---featuring a book by playwright Catherine Johnson that wraps around songs made famous by ABBA---is certainly an invigorating way to welcome theatergoers back for live, in-person performances, especially those looking for a silly, non-serious respite from our current realities. If you're looking for some cute laughs paired with some terrific singing and dancing, this show should fit the bill.

MAMMA MIA! will preview on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 8 pm & Saturday, October 30 at 2 pm (with a press opening on Saturday, October 30 at 8 pm) and run through Sunday, November 21, 2021 at La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, 14900 La Mirada Blvd in La Mirada.

In a return to live performances, Arizona State University's School of Music, Dance and Theatre announces the upcoming 2021–22 theater season.

As Music Director of both orchestras, Cabrera's programming showcases a personalized and integrated vision, highlighting diversity and celebrating the return to live performances. Singer, actress, and comedienne Kelly Clinton debuted her new residency with her new show, The Sit-In in The Nevada Room on Sept. 9. Her residency will continue every Thursday with special guests, music, and humor.

For the 23rd season of the LVP, Cabrera has selected dynamic works including all of Beethoven’s Symphonies interwoven with contemporary works by female composers including Joan Tower, Anna Clyne, Gabriela Lena Frank, Missy Mazzoli, Jessie Montgomery and Caroline Shaw.

Las Vegas Philharmonic and Music Director Donato Cabrera have announced the 2021-22 concert season, and a return to Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts for the first time since they presented a concert featuring Vivaldi's Four Seasons on March 7, 2020. 

In partnership with the House of Dior, MRS. HARRIS GOES TO PARIS tells the story of a widowed cleaning lady in 1950s London who falls madly in love with a couture Dior dress, and decides that she must have one of her own.

The Composers Showcase. The next fundraiser of The Composers Showcase, Anniversary!, will celebrate 15 years and featuring exciting, all-original music by some of the finest songwriters, musicians, and performers at Notoriety Live on April 27.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down, The Cocktail Cabaret delighted audiences as a way to begin a night of fun and entertainment. The critically acclaimed show toured Florida in 2020, performed virtually, and will now return with two performances at the Italian American Club of Southern Nevada on Sunday, March 7.

American Idol season 2 finalists Lou Gazzara and Broadway actor/trumpet recording artist Joey Pero have released O Holy Night, dedicated to longtime friend and Erie, PA resident Troy Schmidt who is currently battling Glioblastoma or “GBL”, a progressive form of brain cancer.

This magical time is back with The Vegas Room. The intimate supper club is now celebrating A Vegas Room Christmas, complete with a delicious six-course holiday meal (with a vegan option). Along with a handcrafted dining experience (including the dessert “Let It Snow”), the complimentary entertainment celebrates the classic holiday movie, White Christmas, and the music of Irving Berlin (over two dozen songs). Along with the talent dance team of Benjamin Tucker (choreographer) and Emma McGirr, rotating cast members will add their particular interpretations during the run of A Vegas Room Christmas through Dec. 27.

The Composers Showcase has joined forces with WE/EC (stage technicians and backstage workers) and will present the first live showcase since March when The Smith Center was closed due to the pandemic. The Composers Showcase will kick off On With the Show! a 4-night live-streamathon on YouTube and Twitch beginning in the evening on Oct. 23 and continuing in the evenings Oct. 24-26.

Tony and Tina will get hitched on Zoom with their family and guests safe and socially distanced. Tony na?? Tinaa??s Wedding, the long-running Las Vegas interactive dinner show on the Strip, will perform a virtual benefit performance on Oct. 8 on Zoom. 

Southwest Medical Associates is partnering with The Cocktail Cabaret to perform its final Facebook a?oeLive Healthy at Homea?? virtual concert series. While the concert is free to enjoy, $5 per live view will be donated to the TCS Entertainment Community Relief Fund, up to a total value of $5,000. The concert will be shown live on Southwest Medical Associates Facebook Page at 3 p.m. (PT) on June 27.

The Las Vegas entertainment community has banded together and recorded a new song, a?oeNeeding Each Other,a?? along with an accompanying video. The song and video can be seen online on YouTube and was created as a fundraiser to assist the entertainment community.
