Sawyer Fredericks releases The Golden Tree EP, his first new album of music since 2020’s Flowers For You. The album includes four new tracks featuring his band, Gannon Ferrell on bass, Jerome Goosman on dobro, and Chris Thomas on drums, as well as Sav Buist and Katie Larson of The Accidentals on strings and backing vocals.

Hilliard Arts Council is proud to present our annual large stage summer musical: Crazy For You. This Tony award winning musical will showcase the efforts of a large cast of talented actors, singers and dancers hailing from the greater Columbus area in a production featuring lavish costumes, big production numbers, a full pit orchestra and of course the high-quality community theatre you expect from a Hilliard Arts Council show. Billed as “The New Gershwin Musical Comedy”, Crazy for You is a romantic comedy musical about a well-to-do young New Yorker, Bobby Child, who is sent to Nevada to foreclose on a theatre owned by the family business. Falling in love with the local postmistress, Bobby decides to produce a show to save the theatre. The Accidentals have released Time Out Session #2, the second installment of their “Time Out” series, a project where the band seeks out the tunesmiths who inspire them. Time Out Session #2 features co-writes with Gretchen Peters, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Gary Burr, Tom Paxton, Maia Sharp, Georgia Middleman, and Peter Mulvey. 

Nashville-based, female-fronted trio The Accidentals have announced their forthcoming EP Time Out Session #2, the second installment of their “Time Out” project, which features co-writes with Gretchen Peters, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Gary Burr, Tom Paxton, Maia Sharp, Georgia Middleman, and Peter Mulvey.

The Accidentals released “Cityview” today. The 3rd single off the upcoming Vessel album, 'Cityview' is the song that won a 2021 New Folk Song Award for Sav Buist. View video here.

This tour is not the first time The Accidentals have collaborated with Fredericks. The Accidentals’ Larson and Buist contributed two songs to Fredericks’ recent Flowers For You album—“Lies You Tell” and “Days Go By”—and were also featured in the video for “Lies You Tell.”

This will be Sawyer’s first tour supporting his Spring of 2020 release, Flowers For You, as his planned album release tour was canceled due to the pandemic, and will be an album release tour for The Accidentals as they release their long-awaited Vessel album.

As Musikfest (July 31-Aug. 9) gets set to kick off tonight at 7 p.m. EST, Michigan-based indie-folk trio The Accidentals have shared the first song from the 90-plus performances scheduled for this year's festival. The band will 'perform' tonight, July 31, 8 p.m., as part of a lineup that also features Andrew Leahey & The Homestead, Shamarr Allen and Reverend Horton Heat.
