Principal photography has commenced in Ireland on The Weir, the new feature from Conor McPherson based on his Laurence Oliver Award winning play of the same name.

This Winter, National Theatre at Home will welcome a trio of powerful new titles for streaming worldwide — from a West End revival starring David Tennant, to an award-winning musical that redefined modern theatre, and more.

Ahead of first preview in Dublin this evening, Kate Horton Productions and Landmark Productions released a first look at Brendan Gleeson as Jack in The Weir, written, and directed for the first time, by Conor McPherson.

Unicorn will debut at the Garrick Theatre in the West End from 4 February for strictly limited run until 26 April 2025

The world premiere of Mike Bartlett’s new play Unicorn, directed by James Macdonald, starring Nicola Walker (Polly), Stephen Mangan (Nick), and Erin Doherty (Kate), will debut at the Garrick Theatre.

An additional week of performances has been added for Waiting for Godot at Theatre Royal Haymarket, now running until 21 December 2024.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to learn that theatre director Michael Boyd has died from cancer. His career took him from training in Moscow to artistic directorships at the Tron Theatre Glasgow [1985-96] and the Royal Shakespeare Company, after joining as an Associate Director in 1996.

The Music Man has extended its Broadway run by popular demand.  Originally announced to close on January 1, the revival of Meredith Willson’s musical, starring two-time Tony Award®, Grammy Award®, and Emmy Award®-winning star Hugh Jackman as Professor Harold Hill and two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as Marian Paroo, will now play its positively final Broadway performance on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

It is third time lucky for Dominic Cooke's revival of C.P Taylor's GOOD, having been delayed twice by the pandemic. The first production from Cooke and Kate Horton's company, Fictionhouse, it stars David Tennant, Sharon Small and Elliot Levey. So what did the critics think?

Tony Award nominee Mark Linn-Baker, will join the company of the revival of The Music Man on Broadway as Mayor Shinn, beginning October 25. As previously announced, Tony Award Winner Jefferson Mays will depart the production on October 23, 2022.
