Initial Casting Announced For The First Major Revival Of CLYBOURNE PARK

Having had to shut down the production of Bruce Norris' seminal play Clybourne Park at final dress rehearsal in March 2020, Trish Wadley Productions and David Adkin, in association with Park Theatre, have announced that the production, originally planned for the play's 10th anniversary year, will open at the venue in March.

Sophie Okonedo and Kae Alexander Join Amazon's THE WHEEL OF TIME

Deadline has reported that Sophie Okonedo and Kae Alexander have signed on for The Wheel of Time, Amazona??s adaptation of Robert Jordana??s fantasy epic. Okonedo will take on the role of Siuan Sanche, and Alexander will be playing Min Farshaw.

Chester Theatre Company to Host Virtual MACBETH Talkback This Thursday

Following sold out runs on London's West End, at BAM, and a limited engagement on Broadway, director Rupert Goold's magnetic stage production of Shakepeare's Macbeth was filmed for television at the end of 2009. London's Almeida Theatre has put together a fantastic playlist of monologues from its past productions to keep us entertained at home, including Andrew Scott performing the famous 'To be, or not to be' soliloquy from Shakespeare's Hamlet. Robert Icke directed Scott in the title role at the Almeida, to great acclaim, in 2017.

Royal Court Theatre Will Celebrate Sam Shepard in November

Lloyd Hutchinson, Nancy Meckler and Stephen Rea will curate an afternoon to celebrate the great American playwright and actor Sam Shepard who passed away in July last year. The event will take place on Monday 12 November at 3pm in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs.

BWW Review: ABSOLUTE HELL, National Theatre

The original version of Rodney Ackland's provocative work, The Pink Room, had a bruising reception back in 1952, losing thousands for investor Terence Rattigan amidst furious reviews. Since salvaged by the Orange Tree in the Eighties, its rebirth was cemented by a Judi Dench-starring production at the National, where it now returns for an intriguing if not entirely convincing encore.
