Fifteen screenwriters will convene to advance their independent projects at Sundance Institute's January Screenwriters Lab, taking place at the Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah, from January 17-22, 2020. At the Lab, the screenwriters will immerse themselves in a rigorous and holistic creative process, working to further develop their scripts with the mentorship of accomplished Creative Advisors.

Roadside Attractions and Samuel Goldwyn Films have co-acquired worldwide rights to Max Lewkowicz's FIDDLER: A MIRACLE OF MIRACLES. The documentary tells the story behind one of Broadway's most beloved musicals, Fiddler on The Roof and its creative roots in early 1960s New York. The film includes interviews with the show's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning lyricist Sheldon Harnick, legendary producer Hal Prince, original cast members, such as Austin Pendleton, as well as rare archival footage of renowned choreographer Jerome Robbins. Further insights into the play's legacy and enduring influence come from new interviews with Broadway luminaries and cultural influencers including Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Chaim Topol, Harvey Fierstein as well as famed authors Fran Lebowitz, Calvin Trillin and Nathan Englander. Roadside and Goldwyn will release FIDDLER: A MIRACLE OF MIRACLES in theatres this summer.

The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup. Continuing its tradition of elevating exceptional storytelling rooted in today's global film communities, the 18th annual Festival will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers. The program includes discoveries, comedies, music-centered, political and social films. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 - May 5.
According to Deadline, actor Danny Glover is set to join Sony's sequel to the hit JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE. The film is welcoming back cast members Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillian, as well as director Jake Kasdan. The 10th annual DTLA Film Festival, Oct. 17-21 at Regal L.A. LIVE in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, announced its 2018 Filmmaker Awards. The two big prize winners were the gender and genre bending contemporary ghost story, "Ocatvio Is Dead!," which picked up the Best Picture and the Best Director awards for Sook-Yin Lee, and Collin Schiffli's drama "All Creatures Here Below," which won the Audience Favorite award and captured the Best Actor prizes for Karen Gillan and David Dastmalchian.
