Katy Sullivan is making history as the first female amputee to star in a Broadway show. Sullivan originated the role of Ani in Martyna Majok's Pulitzer Prize-winning Cost of Living, at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, in LA, London, and Off-Broadway, and is making her Broadway debut with the role. He was honored for his performance in the multi-award-winning short film, Silent Partner, which was also a nominee for Best Short Film. Nominees in the Best Actor category included Coleman Domingo (North Star), Ras-Samuel Welda’abzgi (BLVCK GOLD), and Marcus Temple (Sons of Toledo).

 Broadway Black presents The 2nd Annual Antonyo Awards, which honors Black theatre artists during the 2021-2022 season. The live, in-person ceremony will be held on Monday, October 10 at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem (253 West 125th Street). Awards in 29 competitive categories and five honorary categories will be presented along with performances and guest appearances.

Ato Blankson-Wood (Tony nominee Slave Play), Asmeret Ghebremichael (Book of Mormon, Legally Blonde), Nora Schell (Jagged Little Pill) and Kara Young (Tony nominee Clyde’s) will take part in Broadway Advocacy Coalition's Arts in Action Festival, set to take place at 7pm on Sunday, July 24 at the Manhattan School of Music.
