The World Premiere of Don Nguyen's Hello, From the Children of Planet Earth opens tonight, on March 7 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. Presented by The Playwrights Realm (Katherine Kovner, Founding Artistic Director; Roberta Pereira, Producing Director) and directed by Jade King Carroll, this philosophical, and tender comedy is split between the perspectives of a lesbian couple trying to conceive, and their potential-sperm-donor/aerospace engineer friend as they're stretched to contemplate the unknowns of their future.

Harvard University's ART Institute, the university's graduate-level theater program within the American Repertory Theater, recently announced a three-year admissions suspensions while administrators implement a strategic plan to stabilize the troubled program. On July 30, the A.R.T. Institute Alumni Association sent a letter to the leaders of the Institute criticizing Diane Paulus's 'little respect or interest in the program' and 'negligence in her duty to the Institute.'

Shelter Theatre Group to Stage MACBETH at The Church of Saint Teresa, 1/26-30

Taking up the mantle of the early 19th-century dramatists who invented the American theater, Pocahontas, and/or America recreates our country's origins through the lens of the immortal Indian princess, belle sauvage, Pocahontas. Using contemporary historical accounts, 19th-century melodramas, YMCA Indian guides, archaeological research, and more, Little Lord digs into disputed histories to find out if it's still even possible to make a patriotic piece of theater.

Empirical Rogue and the cell Present MACBETH Benefit Reading for Occupy Sandy Recovery Efforts Today
