Sundance 2015 Kicks Off Premieres, Doc Premieres, Special Events & Panels Today

Sundance Institute screens several films in the out-of-competition Premieres and Documentary Premieres sections, as well as hosting the Special Events section and welcoming participants for two panels, at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, running today, January 22 to February 1 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. The Festival is the centerpiece of the year-round public programs for the Institute, which also hosts 24 residency labs and grants more than $2.5 million to independent artists each year.

STILL DREAMING, the latest feature documentary from Hank Rogerson and Jilann Spitzmiller (SHAKESPEARE BEHIND BARS, HOMELAND), will have its world premiere at DOC NYC, the United States' largest documentary film festival, tonight, November 18th, 2014 at 7:15pm and November 19th, 2014 at 5pm.

Cleveland Play House (CPH) will host their 18th Hall of Fame Luncheon today, November 6th in downtown Cleveland. The 2014 honorees have impacted the success of CPH through their wide-ranging achievements. This year's recipients include Joe Garry, George Gund II, Maeve McGuire, and June Squibb. Receiving the Heritage Award for his contributions to CPH will be Nelson Isekeit. Honorary Co-Chairs for the event are long-time CPH supporters Bob Blattner and Betty Fredman.

June Squibb Exits DTC's DRIVING MISS DAISY; Annalee Jefferies Steps in

Dallas Theater Center announced today that Annalee Jefferies will replace June Squibb in the theater's upcoming production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Driving Miss Daisy. Jefferies, a Texas native, returns to DTC for the first time since her performance in The Blonde, the Brunette and the Vengeful Redhead. Squibb is leaving the production due to professional conflicts.
