Birdland Jazz Club will present the New York concert debut of actress and vocalist Maddie Baillio – best known for her appearances in the Amazon film Cinderella and NBC’s “Hairspray Live!” – on Monday, November 21 at 7:00 PM.

Via Romana is a set of solo piano compositions (as well as an arrangement of Julio Iglesias’s 'Abrázame') that imagine some daydreamer’s life from their 07:30am wake up to their 11:23pm bedtime. To ring in the announcement, Ayvas has shared the album's opening track, '7:30 AM,' which depicts the album's subject's first moments of the day.

Universal Preservation Hall is announcing the first batch of shows coming in 2023. On Thursday, September 22, The Palace Theatre in Stamford will kick off its new diversity series with 'Soultown to Motown' from the Sensational Soul Cruisers. The Palace Diversity Series, sponsored by Shipman & Goodwin, will feature three shows this fall.

In its seventh year of touring nationally, My Son the Waiter: A Jewish Tragedy will make its Washington, DC premiere at the Aaron & Cecile Goldman Theater Edlavitch DCJCC (Theater J) from July 21 to August 21, 2022. 

Birdland presented singer/songwriter Wendy Moten in a very special concert on Monday, May 16.  Ms. Moten, best known for her remarkable run on “The Voice,” celebrated the songs of Richard Whiting, as well as pop standards by Janis Ian, Paul Simon, and an impromptu duet of “Bye Bye Blackbird” with Broadway’s Jessica Vosk.
