This past Tuesday, April 23rd New York City Children's Theater hosted their Annual Gala at The Edison Ballroom, 240 W. 47th Street, New York City.

Well, the next step in my decluttering/digitizing journey is throwing out my Chess CDs, not that they take up much space. I only have the Original Concept Recording and the Broadway cast. I'm going to download the freaking 2008 Royal Albert Hall concert version (with Idina Menzel, Josh Groban and Adam Pascal) to try to keep this column hip. But let's all just remember two things: 1.) I am not hip; and, 2.) I'm just downloading the concert for this column, so it doesn't really count as part of my digitizing.

A-D-D-D-D-F#-A were the first notes of the show last night as the Actors Fund brought back the beloved fan favorite and critically acclaimed musical [title of show] in a reunion concert at The Broadhurst Theatre. This one-night only reunion starred original cast members Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff and Jeff Bowen along with musical director Larry Pressgrove. All proceeds will benefit The Actors Fund.

One of Off-Broadway's most beloved cult musicals, Birds of Paradise, returns to New York City, with a star-studded Broadway cast, many from the hit musical Wicked. The show will be performed on Monday, March 18th, 2019 at 7pm & 9:30pm.
