Tisch New Theatre's production of Alice by Heart will take place at Theater for the New City from April 26th - April 28th, 2024. Directed by Juliette Markman, Choreographed by Erin Amstein, Music Direction by Chelsea Melnick, and Produced by Leah Frantz, this adaptation of Alice by Heart asks the question: can we ever truly escape our reality?

16 year old Julia Lipsztein, a young American and daughter of Brazilians, is the force behind the upcoming benefit concert 'Songs for the World', coming up on January 28, 2020, at NYC's famous Broadway nightclub, Feinstein's 54 Below in support of the BrazilFoundation.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents SONGS FOR THE WORLD on January 28th 2020, the first of a concert series to be produced, promoted and performed by teens, all boasting Broadway and off-Broadway credits. These young professionals will be performing songs ranging in style from Bossa Nova and Samba to powerful Broadway ballads and 80's hits. Joining them onstage will be special guest star, Brazilian composer and singer Jair de Oliveira and the drummer, percussionist and song-writer, Nanny Assis and band.

The young dancers from the Brazilia company Ballet Paraisopolis met with young Broadway actors and participate in a tap and Broadway dance workshop with Thommie Retter, (Billy Elliot).

On March 14th at 5 PM, Julia Lipsztein will release her new music video, 'Believer' which is a cover of the big hit from the band Imagine Dragons. The video will launch Julia's Believe In Yourself Campaign, which will promote self-confidence among our young audience.

The Henri Bendel Fifth Avenue flagship hosted a NYFW benefit event for NoBully.org to raise funds and awareness for anti-bullying efforts and BroadwayWorld was there! The event was organized by Carrie Berk (NYMF 2017 Award for Outstanding Individual Performance) and the all-kid cast of the New York Musical Festival's Peace, Love and Cupcakes: The Musical. The show joined forces with No Bully this summer and was awarded a special NYMF citation for turning a musical into a full-fledged social inclusivity movement.

The Camp Broadway Kids, a musical theatre ensemble comprised of 60 theatre-loving kids, ages 12-16, will be featured at The New York Pops 34th Birthday Gala at Carnegie Hall on Monday, May 1, 2017.

On Monday, March 13, 2017, A Class Act NY, the award-winning acting studio for kids and teens, proudly presented the 'MY FAVORITE THINGS' Cabaret at the historic Triad Theatre. Talented young singers, ages 7-18, presented songs from their favorite Broadway musicals. A portion of the proceeds were donated to The enCourage Kids Foundation, a charity that encourages all kids facing health challenges to be carefree kids. Scroll down for photos!

Following a move from New York City to small-town Indiana, young Evan Goldman grapples with his parents' divorce, prepares for his impending Bar Mitzvah, and navigates the complicated social circles of a new school.

Thommie Retter (Billy Elliot) and Retter Entertainment ring in the holidays for the HOW MANY consecutive year with This Way To Broadway Live: Jingle Jam!, an original musical/song and dance showcase for audiences of all ages on Sunday, December 4 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre, 10 West 64th Street. The show brings together talented kid performers from the stage and screen-many of whom have already appeared on Broadway and on tour-and others who are Broadway bound. The script was penned by mother/daughter writing team Sheryl Berk and Carrie Berk (Peace, Love & Cupcakes: The Musical; Fashion Academy: The Musical) with original songs by Thommie Retter and Rick Hip-Flores (In Transit; Fun Home; Billy Elliot). Thommie Retter, (Billy Elliot) and Retter Entertainment provide unique opportunities for aspiring young performers through This Way To Broadway, Live, a series of workshops culminating in showcase opportunities, including singing, acting, and dancing. The coming event Showbiz Kids, will take place at The Actors Temple located at 339 W 47th St, New York, NY 10036. The show will bring together performers with a wealth of Broadway experience, and many others who aspire to reach the same heights. With help from directors Becca Retter & Thommie Retter, writer and director Anthony Giunta (Contest The Movie, Skin In The Game), Sean Patrick Francis, Ann Cooly, music director Rick Hip-Flores (Fun home), L.A.-based music producer Brandon Jarrett and Broadway veteran vocal coaches Bob Marks, Sara Shikowitz, Trapper Felides and Amy Hanratty, fun and excitement will be had on and off the stage!
