Vineyard Theatre's 2018 Gala Fundraiser celebrating Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer and the award-winning theatre company's 35th Anniversary took place on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Edison Ballroom (240 West 47th Street). Cody Lassen is the 35th Anniversary Gala Chair and Audible, Inc. is the lead corporate sponsor of the event.

Some of the top talent in the Broadway community will be gracing the stage of The Cape Playhouse this summer. The impressive list of headliners includes Judy Kuhn, Michelle Pawk, Mary Testa, Nancy Opel, Jennifer Simard, Mike McGowan and Jennifer Cody..Michael Rader, Artistic Director, today announced the casting for the historic theatre's 92nd season in Dennis, MA. The six-play schedule, running from June 12 - September1, 2018, features three plays and three musicals-including three Playhouse premieres-in a season featuring Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning shows and the premiere and Pre-National Tour Engagement of a new production of the classic movie Clue: On Stage.

Today's subject Judy Kuhn has been living her theatre life as a working actress/singer/recording artist for over thirty years. On May 5th you will be able to see this incredible Tony-nominated talent live in concert at Dumbarton Church in Georgetown as part of the Dumbarton Concerts series. The program is entitled Judy Kuhn: A Broadway Cabaret.

New York's acclaimed Classic Stage Company will mark its 50th birthday with a gala celebration on Monday evening, April 23 at Bohemian National Hall (321 East 73rd Street) recognizing Artistic Director John Doyle and Board Chair Lynn Angelson. The evening will feature special guest performances from Doyle's New York career including Cynthia Erivo, Judy Kuhn, and Donna McKechnie.

For the eighth consecutive season since taking the helm as Producing Artistic Director at Provincetown's Art House, Mark Cortale has upped the ante - announcing his largest music and comedy lineup yet.

Jesse Berger (Founder and Artistic Director), Jim Bredeson (Managing Director), and the Board of Trustees of Red Bull Theater held the Tenth Annual RUNNING OF THE RED BULLS BENEFIT last night, Monday March 26th, celebrating the company's 15th Season and honoring Ismenia Mendes, Charlayne Woodard, and The Fund for the City of New York with the 2018 Matador Awards for Excellence in Classical Theater. Proceeds from the evening will go to support all of Red Bull Theater's programs, including the upcoming Off-Broadway premiere of David Ives's The Metromaniacs, directed by Michael Kahn.

On March 19, 2018, Virginia's Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre honored legendary Broadway composer John Kander with the company's ninth Stephen Sondheim Award. Goodman Theatre revives Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years, Emily Mann's "warming theatrical event" (Variety)that celebrates the lives of "two strong, vibrant women dispensing joy and wisdom" (Chicago Tribune). Goodman Theatre Resident Director Chuck Smith's production features Ella Joyce and Marie Thomas as the Delany centenarians, Bessie (1891 - 1995) and Sadie (1889 -1999), respectively, as they trace their lives in a heartfelt reflection of their family history and triumphs over prejudices in times of social unrest.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) is proud to premiere Little Orphan Danny, a musical memoir from Dan Finnerty about what it means to be a good son. This surprisingly touching and irreverently funny show is for everyone out there who has a mother. Julie Foldesi, a veteran Broadway actor who recently appeared in Sunday in the Park with George with Jake Gyllenhaal, plays, among many roles, Dan's birth mother and adoptive mother. The show is Music Directed by Dan Lipton, who was recently the Associate Music Director for Sting's The Last Ship on Broadway.

Just last night, Atlantic Theater Company presented their Annual Gala at The Plaza (768 Fifth Avenue). Composers' Choice paid tribute to celebrated composers of the stage with a fabulous evening of unexpected songs, honoring Orin Wolf, John Styles, and John Hart for their contribution to American musical theater.
