Roundabout Theatre Company's (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) critically acclaimed Broadway production of Oscar Wilde's comedy The Importance of Being Earnest, directed by and starring Brian Bedford, will be filmed live with multiple high definition cameras during public performances on March 11 and 12, 2011 at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd St.).

The Blank Theatre Company's Young Playwrights Festival is now seeking submissions nationwide from playwrights 19 years of age and younger. Submission deadline is March 15, 2011. Winning plays will be presented by professional actors and directors from June 2-26, 2011 at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood, CA.

According to TVGuide.com, John Lithgow is in talks to star as Barney's father in CBS' HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.

Pop Star Katy Perry will guest star on an episode of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER titled 'Oh Honey,' to be broadcast later this season. Katy will play Zoey's (Jennifer Morrison) cousin, a beautiful, naive girl who the gang resorts to calling 'Honey.'

Second Stage Theatre will present the New York premiere of Rajiv Joseph's (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo) Gruesome Playground Injuries featuring Pablo Schreiber and Jennifer Carpenter in 2011, the New York Times reveals today. CBS.com today announced a new weekly podcast for its hit comedy, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, featuring commentary on the previous night's episode from the show's writers, directors, producers, guest stars and series regulars.

TV Guide reports that Ben Vereen and Wayne Brady will be guest starring on CBS' How I Met Your Mother next season. Both men will appear in the second episode of the sitcom's sixth season, airing on Monday, September 27, 2010. (Season six premieres on Monday, September 20). Brady returns as James Stinson, Barney's black, gay brother. Brady premiered the character in a 2006 and reprised the role again in 2007. Vereen will play Brady's father. No word on wether or not the episode will include a musical production. With the musical talents of Brady, Vereen and Neil Patrick Harris (who plays Barney), however, a musical addition to the stint seems likely.

Laura Bell Bundy has joined TV's 'How I Met Your Mother' in a recurring role, according to EW's Ausiello Files. The role is described as 'fairly pivotal' -- Bundy will play Robin's (Cobie Smulders) new 'Metro News One' co-host. The previous co-host exited the show in May's season finale. She is rumored to go on a date with Ted (Josh Radnor), according to the report.
