The second mainstage production of Pasadena Playhouse’s six-month-long Sondheim celebration A Little Night Music opens April 30, 2023 (with previews beginning April 25th). David Lee directs this 50th anniversary production of A Little Night Music with a cast of 19, accompanied by a full-sized orchestra.  Jodi Long, who plays Madame Armfeldt, took some time to answer a few of my queries.

It begins with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ends with the crucifixion. It also highlights the political and interpersonal struggles between Jesus and one of his 12 apostles, Judas Iscariot that are not present in the Bible narratives.

The benefit reunion concert of Jesus Christ Superstar--with Ted Neeley, Yvonne Elliman, Barry Dennen, Ben Vereen and film star Jack Black--was a sell-out success on August 13th!

The original stars of the film version of Jesus Christ Superstar--Ted Neeley, Yvonne Elliman, and Barry Dennen--will reunite for a benefit concert of the landmark Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice rock opera on Sunday, August 13th at 8 PM at the Ricardo Montalban Theatre in Hollywood; it will also feature film star Jack Black
