Paul Walter Hauser, actor and wrestler, has joined the upcoming reboot of the comedy classic The Naked Gun. Hauser will star alongside the previously announced Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson in the film, which will hit theaters on July 18, 2025. Hauser will play Captain Ed, a role played by George Kennedy in the original trilogy.

Brian Tyree Henry, who was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in the revival of Lobby Hero, has joined the new musical film from Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry. Henry joins the previously announced Kelvin Harrison Jr., Halle Bailey and recent Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph. Few plot details about the upcoming film have been released, apart from its setting. It is reported to be set in Virginia Beach during the summer of 1977.
