CBS Sunday Morning correspondent Lee Cowan spoke with F. Scot Fitzgerald's great-granddaughter, and the creative team of The Great Gatsby about the newest adaptation of the novel after copyright expired and the novel became public domain in 2021.

Currently originating the role of Jordan Baker in the upcoming stage adaptation of The Great Gatsby on Broadway, Sam Pauly is making a classic her own. She shares her experience being the original Katherine Howard in Six on Broadway, and how she gained the stamina to maintain it for eight shows a week.

When actress Jordan Baker opens her mouth, the voice we hear isn’t hers; it’s the voice of Dana H. playwright Lucas Hnath’s mother, Dana Higginbotham, recorded in a series of interviews and cut together to form a lip sync track.
