Chance Theater will present THE MESSENGER, a new play by Jenny Connell Davis, exploring themes of memory and resistance, from March 27 to April 19, 2026.

Original Works Publishing has announced the publication of SEVEN DEADLY TENS (A Sinful Collection of Short Plays) by Jonathan Josephson. Each of the internationally-produced, award-winning 10-minute plays was inspired by one of Dante's Seven Deadly Sins, playfully mixing stories of humanity at its worst with wry humor.

The long-awaited performance of the International Stage It! 10-Minute Play Festival will finally be presented on October 9-11 at Centers for Performing Arts Bonita Springs. Originally scheduled for one-week after the state's pandemic lock down in March, plays from around the world will be performed for a live audience-social-distancing required.

The 4th Annual International Stage It! 10-Minute Play Festival has announced the winners for this year's publication, now in it's fourth volume. The unique competition began with open submissions in October, garnering 346 plays from around the world, and a unique adjudication process. The top 25 plays have been selected for publication in Stage It! 4: 10-Minute Plays. The book is released in conjunction with the Festival weekend, March 20-22, where many of the plays will be produced.

January 14 will mark the deadline for entries into the fourth annual Stage It! 10-Minute Play Festival at Center for Performing Arts Bonita Springs. The Festival culminates with a full production of ten of the winning plays March 19-22, 2020.

Unbound Productions Executive Director Jonathan Josephson and Artistic Director Paul Millet have announced the details for Wicked Lit Staged Readings at A Noise Within. The enhanced staged reading will feature The Unholy Sisters by Susannah Myrvold (premiered at First Stab Festival II in 2018), directed by Millet; H.P. Lovecraft's From Beyond adapted by Trey Nichols (World Premiere - Wicked Lit 2016), directed by Shaina Rosenthal; and The Grove of Rashomon adapted by Jonathan Josephson, from the short story a?oeIn A Grovea?? by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa (World Premiere - Wicked Lit 2015) directed by Darrell Kunitomi.

The Alternative Theater Company presents ALTERED MINDS, Off-Broadway AEA Showcase, a collection of short plays, from quirky to inspiring, on relevant mental health issues and the stories of those whose lives they touch.

The Warner Theatre will present its 8th Annual International Playwrights Festival held in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre October 11 and 12, 2019. The mission of the International Playwrights Festival is to recognize the work of emerging and established playwrights and to build a link between the playwrights, the theatre community and our audiences. The festival is a two-night celebration of new works by playwrights from across the country and around the globe. For the eighth year, 150 plays were accepted for consideration from across the United States and as far away as China and New Zealand. Eleven winners have been selected and one play will be invited to participate in the 2019 festival.
