Celebrating 40 years since the release of their debut single 'Realities Of War' in 1980, British hardcore punk band Discharge are surviving pioneers of the subgenre they invented; D-beat. Having had a worldwide influence on both extreme metal and punk with their uncompromising, raw sound over the last 40 years, Discharge's political message is now relevant more than ever. Still performing globally in clubs and at festivals, the quintet are heralded as one of the godfathers of the political and anarcho punk scenes. Heavily championed by John Peel in their early years, they clocked up several chart singles and albums and went on to influence metal bands like Metallica and Celtic Frost, as well as punk acts like Rancid.

October Drift have shared the emotive acoustic video for their latest single, 'Forever Whatever', as part of their series of Songs In Strange Places. The video follows the announcement of a ten-date headline tour for February after the release of their debut album Forever Whatever, out on January 24th via Physical Education Records.

Liverpool-based The Room in the Wood have announced they will release their new album 'We're The Martians, Now' in early 2020 via A Turntable Friend Records. Ahead of this, they present 'Charmed', the first and rather timely single from this release.

Imperial Wax, the surviving members of the last and longest running edition of legendary Manchester post-punk band The Fall are set to release their debut album 'Gastwerk Saboteurs' on May 17, 2019 via Saustex Records. As the core of The Fall, drummer Keiron Melling, bassist Dave “The Eagle” Spurr and guitarist Pete Greenway served 11 years, recording six full-length studio albums and two EP's with Mark E Smith.

Third Man Records is excited to share its full slate of Record Store Day 2019 offerings. Topping the list is the Third Man Triple Inchophone 3' record player, available alongside a new 3' box set of The White Stripes singles. Third Man will also be releasing a 2xLP 180 gram black vinyl version of Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band's Trout Mask Replica, as well as Griot Galaxy's Kins LP in limited 'liquid darkness' vinyl. Scottish indie-pop rockers Astrid are back with a brand new album after a 14-year hiatus, Fall, Stand, Dance, to be released April 12 on Edwyn Collins' AED Records, premiering a first single “Poison Reaction” via Buzzbands.LA, prior to its official release on February 22 – share via Soundcloud.  Led by songwriters Willie Campbell and Charlie Clark, Fall, Stand, Dance was recorded in Los Angeles, where Clark now resides, produced by Eric McCann (The New Amsterdams) and mixed by long time Astrid collaborator Tony Doogan(Belle and Sebastian/Mogwai/Delgados).
