Theatrical charity, Acting for Others today announces the winners for the Golden Bucket Awards 2019. The ceremony took place at the Prince of Wales Theatre and was hosted by Carl Mullaney. The awards celebrate some of the most supportive and successful fundraisers who have helped the charity raise over £400K in the last twelve months both through bucket collections across UK theatres and a variety of events throughout the year.

Stars of the stage and screen swapped their costumes for aprons, and served diners for a one-off sitting at The Ivy, a restaurant renowned for its unfaltering service. Leading the waiting staff this year and trying their hand at bartending, waiting tables, auctioneering, taking coats and welcoming guests were Jim Carter, Sheila Hancock and Dame Penelope Wilton. The Inheritance, the 2018 Evening Standard Theatre Award-winning 'Best Play' by Matthew Lopez, must end its strictly limited engagement at the Noel Coward Theatre on Saturday 19th January. Sonia Friedman, Tom Kirdahy and Hunter Arnold present the Young Vic production which opened in the West End on Saturday 13th October to widespread critical acclaim, with reviews recognising it as a modern classic, and one of the most important plays for many years.
