The Barn Theatre and the Everyman Theatre Cheltenham have teamed up to host a night that will benefit refugees fleeing Ukraine conflict that can be live streamed worldwide at 7.30pm BST on Saturday 02 April.

Award winning West End and Broadway star John Owen-Jones is to perform three very special shows this autumn. The LES MISERABLES and The Phantom Of The Opera star will take to the stage at Her Majesty's Theatre in the West End along with shows in Lancashire and Leeds.

Fourth Wall Live and Frank Wildhorn have announced that West End stars Trevor Dion Nicholas, Natalie McQueen, John Owen-Jones, Christine Allado, Natalie May Paris, Frances Mayli McCann, Jordan Luke Gage and The Arts Ed Choir will be joining the composing icon on stage for  FRANK & FRIENDS – The Music of Frank Wildhorn.

New musical Mimma puts Italian resistance members who came to London before the war front and centre in its depiction of people caught between allegiances to their family, country, and ideology.

The Gaiety Musical Theatre Festival has announced the full main stage line up for this year's festival at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire.

Mimma, a new musical telling the stories of Italians living in London during World War Two, will debut in a one-night-only concert performance at Cadogan Hall later this month. We talk to Celinde Schoenmaker, the Dutch star best known for her West End roles in Les Miserables and The Phantom Of The Opera, about her eponymous role in Mimma and the musical’s universal themes.

Finally – a major theatrical event in a prime-time slot on a Saturday night. Not since Andrew Lloyd Webber’s array of reality shows have we seen musical theatre put front and centre on a mainstream channel, and after years of The Olivier Awards broadcast being relegated to a truncated late night Sunday slot, this feels like a long time coming. And all the more poignant after the rough ride the industry has had these past two years.

For one night only, The National Lottery brought the biggest shows from the world of musical theatre together in Manchester for a spectacular celebration that will be aired on BBC One this Saturday (29th January 2022). 

Joining the previously announced Sir David Suchet (Poirot, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, All My Sons), Louise Dearman (Wicked, Evita) and Celinde Schoenmaker (Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera) is John Owen-Jones, the youngest actor to play the role of Jean Valjean in Les Misérables and a record holder for the number of performances as Phantom in Phantom of the Opera. He will take on the role of Lorenzo.

On Sunday, the West End Calling Grand Finals took over the Charing Cross Theatre for the day, where 28 young performers from all over the country came together to perform in the two shows - the Junior Final and the Senior Final.

Lucie Jones has just finished a marathon stint playing Jenna Hunterson, most recently in the UK Tour of Waitress. She has hung up her apron and will perform two exclusive headline Christmas shows, Lucie Jones at Christmas, in Cardiff and London on 13 and 14 December, respectively. We spoke with Jones about Waitress, Les Mis, Christmas, and taking on the role of Elphaba in 2022.

West End stars Christine Allado, Kerry Ellis, John Owen-Jones, Natalie McQueen and Kayi Ushe will be joining the composing icon on stage for  FRANK & FRIENDS – The Music of Frank Wildhorn at the Cadogan Hall on Sunday 16 January 2022 at 6.30pm.
