The New Jewish Theatre’s production of John Logan’s RED is sensational. Knoll’s directorial vision immerses the audience into Rothko’s studio, his painting techniques, and his fragile mind. Harris and Petrillo’s phenomenal portrayal and the production staff’s sensational work create a stimulating and layered story about both the artist and his art.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical will welcome back original Broadway cast member and Tony Award-winner Aaron Tveit, alongside platinum-selling singer, songwriter, and actress Joanna 'JoJo' Levesque as Christian and Satine, respectively.

New Jewish Theatre will present Red by John Logan, running Thursday, July 25 through Sunday, August 11 at the J's Wool Studio Theatre. Alongside the production, the New Jewish Theatre is hosting three special events that will give special understanding for this compelling play about the life of abstract expressionist painter Mark Rothko.

This weekend, Moulin Rouge! The Musical will say au revoir to current stars Courtney Reed and Derek Klena. They depart along with understudy Bobby Daye and ensemble member Clay Rice-Thomson. To celebrate their send off, the quartet of performers put together a farewell to the show, using the iconic 'goodbye' song, 'So Long, Farewell' from The Sound of Music. The 2024 summer theatre season is already in full swing in St. Louis, Missouri, with three exceptional comedy-dramas opening last week. St. Louis stages opened their 2024 season with STEEL MAGNOLIAS starring a mostly local cast. Broadway World called the Stages St. Louis production “wonderfully funny – creating contagious uncontrollable laughter.”  Albion Theatre opened a terrific production of Alan Ayckbourn’s WOMAN IN MIND with a tour-de-force performance from Emily Baker in the lead role. Baker is on stage the entire production. Stray Dog Theatre had audiences laughing out loud with their production of David Lindsay-Abaire's RIPCORD. All three productions run through the end of June. The most anticipated productions of the remaining summer season include shows at The Muny, Stages St. Louis, and The New Jewish Theatre.

The Philippine Legitimate Stage Artist Group has announced its nominees for the 14th Gawad Buhay Awards, an award-giving body for the performing arts. Only the productions staged by Philstage’s member companies from the past season are eligible for the nomination, chosen by an independent jury.
