DSTRK Releases the Video for 'Yes Man'

Kansas City native, DSTRK (pronounced 'District') has dropped a brand music video for 'Yes Man' online. In the Reel Wolf Productions directed video, DSTRK guides us through a neon psychedelic neon otherworld of sensual temptations as the bass thunders from the speakers and the drip-filled rhymes will get stuck in your head. Gallant Unveils New Video for 'Sweet Insomnia' Feat. 6lack

GRAMMY® Award-nominated singer Gallant unveils his highly-anticipated official video for 'Sweet Insomnia' feat. 6lack from his most recent album of the same name. The video debuted this morning on BET Soul and BET Her at 3am PST / 6am EST and will continue to air every hour throughout the day. Retro design meets bohemian décor in the artistic visual, directed by Cameron Dean, as Gallant croons bittersweet lyrics over the intoxicating melody. In 2019, Gallant attained critical-acclaim for his Sweet Insomnia album with support from NPR, Complex, Billboard and many more, in addition to standout track 'Sleep On It' reaching the Top 20 at Urban Radio. This year, Gallant continues to ascend with a new Sweet Insomnia headlining tour kicking off in Los Angeles on February 15th, which includes support from VanJess and Ro James. 

Gabriel Brown, Chauncey Chestnut and More Join BLUE at the Apollo Theater; Complete Casting Announced

Today, producers Brian Moreland, Ron Simons, Eric Falkenstein, Mike Jackson and singer John Legend announced complete casting for Blue, a play by Charles Randolph-Wright and directed by Phylicia Rashad which will play a 16-week limited engagement at New York's legendary Apollo Theater (253 West 125th Street) in Harlem starting Monday, April 27 with opening night set for May 10.. Blue will run through August 16.

Singer-Songwriter Lola Lennox Releases First Single 'In The Wild'

With her first single, 'In The Wild,' singer-songwriter Lola Lennox is ready to hit the ground running in 2020. The song, available on streaming services, has an incredible companion video, gorgeously directed by Natalie Johns (Sam Smith, John Legend, Childish Gambino), who also worked with her mother, Annie Lennox, on her critically acclaimed PBS Special An Evening of Nostalgia, and 8 other music videos for the Nostalgia project. 

Tickets Are Now On Sale For BLUE At The Apollo Theater

Producers Brian Moreland, Ron Simons, Mike Jackson, John Legend and Eric Falkenstein announced today that tickets for Blue are officially on-sale. The beloved play by Charles Randolph-Wright with music by Nona Hendryx and lyrics by Charles Randolph-Wright, will play a 16-week engagement at New York's legendary Apollo Theater (253 West 125th Street), under the direction of Tony Award winner Phylicia Rashad who starred in both the play's 2000 world premiere at Arena Stage and 2001 New York premiere at Roundabout Theatre Company. Previews are set to begin on April 27th with opening night on May 10th. Blue will run through August 16th.

Saadiq is responsible for producing, arranging and recording all of the original song elements within the series featuring live performances. The score will be written and produced by multi-Grammy Award-winner and Academy Award nominee Terence Blanchard ('Harriet,' 'BlacKkKlansman').
