The innovative and long-running concert series Live from the Artists Den announced their 13th season will launch the week of September 16th nationwide on public television (check local listings). Episodes from the new season premiere weekly and feature performances by Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes, platinum-selling, multi-talented pop futurist Charli XCX, Grammy Award-nominated and BRIT award-winning singer/songwriter James Bay and multi-platinum Australian singer/songwriter Vance Joy. The Philly POPS steps outside the concert hall for a celebration of the legendary musicians who walked the streets of West Philadelphia. A Musical Celebration of West Philadelphia features the music of John Legend and The Roots, Patti LaBelle, John Coltrane, Jill Scott, the Stylistics, Will Smith, and Boyz II Men, performed by The Philly POPS little BIG Band with guest vocalists Melanie Ashe and Jon Williams.

Songhoy Blues today announce their latest EP, Meet Me in the City (October 18 on Yellow Vinyl)—their first new music since the critically acclaimed album Résistance, which Rolling Stone called one of the best albums of 2017. They also share two versions of the EP's track “Time to Go Home,” one mixed by Blake Mills (Grammy-nominated producer of Alabama Shakes' Sound & Color, John Legend's Darkness and Light, and Perfume Genius' No Shape) and the other by David Ferguson (known for his sound engineering work with 'Cowboy' Jack Clement and on Johnny Cash's American Recordings).  The track, with lyrics written by Will Oldham (the music is by Songhoy Blues andMatt Sweeney and produced by Sweeney), appears on the EP alongside the title track written by Junior Kimbrough (with additional lyrics by Songhoy Blues and produced by Matt Sweeney), and a cover of Fela Kuti's “Shakara,” featuring Femi Kuti. Songhoy Blues will embark on a North American tour beginning in September and extending through the fall.

Work Light Productions announced casting today for the 50th Anniversary Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's iconic musical, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. Winner of the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival, the North American presentation of the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's production will tech in Syracuse, NY.  The tour will officially launch at Austin's Bass Concert Hall on October 8 through October 13, 2019 before visiting over 30 cities including Los Angeles, Denver, Nashville, Dallas and Chicago.
