Scenes, songs and stories from treasured Christmas classics are endearingly brought to stage in North Star Theater Company's premiere of a?oeChristmas Memories and Magic,a?? directed by Phil Cocilovo of Montague, and music direction by Dr. Deborah Gianuzzi of Newton. Running December 13, 14, at 7 p.m. and December 15, at 2 p.m., a?oeChristmas Memories and Magica?? will be held at Franklin Elementary School, located at 50 Washington Ave., Franklin in Sussex County. The Cleveland Orchestra's annual Christmas Concerts are a local tradition, and Severance Hall is a dazzling wintertime destination for families and friends across Northeast Ohio. On Friday, December 13, this year's series of a dozen concerts conducted by Richard Kaufman begins amidst the holiday splendor of Severance Hall, featuring The Cleveland Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, Cleveland Orchestra Children's Chorus, Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus Chamber Ensemble, Blossom Festival Chorus, and three guest choruses a?" Wooster Chorus from The College of Wooster, Cleveland State University Chorale, and Ursuline College Choir.

Make or continue a holiday tradition! Holiday Pops returns to the historic Capitol Center for the Arts in Downtown Concord on Sunday, December 22. The festive annual event features performances from the Capital Jazz Orchestra, guest vocalists CJ Poole and Laura Daigle, and narrator Laura Knoy of NHPR who will be reciting her traditional version of 'The Night Before Christmas.' You won't believe your eyes and ears! Singer, songwriter and John Denver tribute artist Ted Vigil brings his a?oeRocky Mountain Christmasa?? performance to the Capitol Center for the Arts (Concord, NH) for one night only on Saturday, December 21 at 8PM.

Isaac Mizrahi returns to Café Carlyle with his all-new show, Isaac Mizrahi: Movie Stars and Supermodels, for a three-week residency, January 21 a?' February 8. His previous residencies in the room were sellouts, receiving widespread critical acclaim. Accompanied by his band of jazz musicians led by Ben Waltzer, Mizrahi will perform a range of tunes by the likes of John Denver, Bill Withers, Cy Coleman and Stephen Sondheim. He will dish on model fittings, intimate dinners and exclusive parties with Hollywood's elite, while sharing his hilarious musings on everything of the moment from politics to dieting to his latest Instagram obsessions. The New York Times noted, 'he qualifies as a founding father of a genre that fuses performance art, music and stand-up comedy.'

A history lesson with music is the perfect way to describe 'Woody Sez: The Life and Music of Woody Guthrie,' that is now playing at the Ivoryton Playhouse through November 10. There's no need for sepia toned distance as this work covers the ups and downs of Guthrie's journeys and songs. With a marvelous cast of four, led by co-creator David M. Lutken, Guthrie's legacy is given an immediacy and excitement that brings an audience into the heyday of protest music that grew out of what Ken Burns described as 'hillbilly music' in his recent documentary on the country genre.

Making his world debut as a recording artist and cabaret singer, Dr. Mike Winters wows with his unique vocals and pure stylings. It was a night to remember for everyone who got in on the ground floor of this new fan base.

Café Carlyle's winter & spring 2020 seasons will feature the return of audience favorites Hamilton Leithauser, Isaac Mizrahi, Joan Osborne, Betty Buckley, and John Pizzarelli; and debuts by Stephanie J. Block, Belinda Carlisle, and Fran Drescher.

Lively McCabe Entertainment announces a partnership with Brian Kelley -- of the multi-platinum, award-winning duo Florida Georgia Line -- via his CuzBro Productions banner, on the recently announced new musical MAY WE ALL. Kelley and partners Stephen Snedden and Justin Halliwell join previously announced producers, Lively McCabe Entertainment President Michael Barra, and Elyse Cogan, Director, Theatrical for BMG. CuzBro will be actively involved in the creative development of the project, and a developmental production will be staged in Memphis, Tennessee at Playhouse on the Square in the fall of 2020 (dates TBA). The producers are simultaneously pursuing a feature film adaptation of the musical.

Two-time Grammy nominee Tommy Emmanuel, one of Australia's most respected guitarists, once again brings his passionate and infectious live show to Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11 and Thursday, December 12 at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts. This show marks Emmanuel's eight performance at Pepperdine.
