Eddie Jemison, who played Ogie in the 2007 film of Waitress, is set to make his Broadway debut in the role beginning on February 11 and playing through April 28. Waitress announced today that Joey McIntyre will don the white coat of Dr. Pomatter a day earlier than previously announced; his first performance will be Monday February 4 at 7 PM; he will be in the show through April 7.

Joey McIntyre will take over the role of Dr. Pomatter on February 5 and play through April 7, 2019. He was last seen on Broadway as Fiyero in Wicked. Producer Barry Weissler said, 'We love Joey as a New Kid on the Block and know that he has 'The Right Stuff' to be a brilliant Dr. Pomatter.'

Just last night, the New York Musical Festival (NYMF) honored Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award-winning actress Victoria Clark, NYMF Board Member Jill Jaysen and Tony Award-winning producers Frankel, Viertel, Baruch, Routh Group at its 2018 Gala at the Edison Ballroom.

Radio Galaxy, a new play by Michele Aldin Kushner, will be performed at invitation-only readings on Thursday, September 27 at 11am and 3pm and Friday, September 28 at 2pmat the Westside Theatre (407 W. 43rd Street). Radio Galaxy is directed by Mark Waldrop and produced by Margot Astrachan. 

FOX has renewed interactive music game show BEAT SHAZAM, hosted and executive-produced by Jamie Foxx, for a third season. Foxx will return as host and executive producer for Season Three, along with executive producers Mark Burnett, Jeff Apploff and Barry Poznick. Corinne Foxx, daughter of Jamie Foxx, also will return as deejay.

The Wanderer, the new musical based on the life of Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Dion DiMucci, has found the cast for its workshop. Mike Wartella will play Dion himself, while Christy Altomare will play Dion's wife, Susan. Joey McIntyre of New Kids on the Block will play Johnny. The full cast is listed below!

Last night, August 2, the cast and creative team of Pretty Woman the Musical paid tribute to the film's director, the late, great Garry Marshall. Speeches were given by the musical's director Jerry Mitchell, producer Paula Wagner, and Marshall's family, Kathleen Marshall, Scott Marshall, and Barbara Marshall. Also in attendance for the evening was Julia Roberts, the film's original star!
