Last night, August 2, the cast and creative team of Pretty Woman the Musical paid tribute to the film's director, the late, great Garry Marshall. Speeches were given by the musical's director Jerry Mitchell, producer Paula Wagner, and Marshall's family, Kathleen Marshall, Scott Marshall, and Barbara Marshall. Also in attendance for the evening was Julia Roberts, the film's original star! Sexy and poignant, Plan-B Entertainment's production of Cabaret remains as relevant as it did when the show premiered in 1966. Cabaret-featuring classic music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and book by Joe Masteroff-is the third and final musical of the season put on by the Anchorage Concert Association at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts.

Monday night marks the return of Broadway Backwards- Broadway's annual gender-swapped celebration of love and the LGBT community. In its 12 editions, Broadway Backwards has raised more than $3.4 million for Broadway Cares and The Center.
