With news of the nominations, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Time Rice, and John Legend are all just one Emmy win away from becoming EGOT-ers - a term reserved for those who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and a Tony Award. He served as an executive producer of Jesus Christ Superstar.

In an age where televised live events are becoming more and more popular, rules need to be changed. The Emmys are finally sorting this out, according to Variety. The awards organization has split the special class categories into variety special (live) and variety special (pre-recorded).

TODAY's Hoda Kotb sat down with John Legend, Sara Bareilles, Brandon Victor Dixon and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber to talk about their live performance of "Jesus Christ Supertar Live in Concert," which attracted more than 10 million viewers. Performed live on a set of exposed scaffolding in Brooklyn's Marcy Armory, this live musical gave cause to all of its televised musical predecessors. Masterworks Broadway released the live recording of the vivacious television event digitally on April 6th, with a physical version to follow on April 20.
