The Players announces its next Pipe Night, honoring Tony Award-nominated composer and writer Joe Iconis (Be More Chill). A favorite Players tradition that has celebrated significant cultural figures for over a century, the Pipe Night for Mr. Iconis will be held on Monday, September 9th starting at 6:30 pm at The Players, located at 16 Gramercy Park South.

Encore telecasts of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” have won the late-night ratings week of Aug. 26-30 in adults 18-49 as well as adults, men and women 25-54 versus rebroadcasts of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” according to “live plus same day” figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Building on the success of Comedy Central's hit scripted comedy series, South Side, which debuted this summer to universal praise, critical acclaim and ratings success, WBEZ Chicago and Comedy Central now are partnering to introduce South Side Stories, a new podcast that celebrates the real-life people and places that inspired South Side.

Today, E! announced the commencement of voting for the 2019 “E! People's Choice Awards,” celebrating all forms of entertainment, chosen entirely by the people.  Starting with the fan nomination week back in August, E! engaged fans worldwide to submit their favorites in the various categories. Now it's time for them to select their choice from the eight nominees to determine the winner in each category representing movies, television, music and pop culture.

Rolling Stone recently said “The 25-year-old's uncannily mature songs tackle weighty topics without flinching.” “The Borders,” Sam's personal favorite on the LP, is a chest-punching story that looks a little closer to home. At once deeply personal and traumatic, Sam tells a story of two boys growing up together and then going their separate ways. Memories inferred but not directly addressed. It's a storming tune with a powerful story, as so many of Sam's songs are.

ABC (3.503 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1) was the Labor Day champ in demos with fresh installments of 'Bachelor in Paradise' (4.073 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) and 'Grand Hotel' (2.364 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T6).

Front and Center, the critically acclaimed concert series that kicked off its ninth season last month, announced that popular indie folk band The Head and The Heart is featured in its next episode on public television (check local listings). 

Platinum award-winning Welsh songstress Donna Lewis and producer, arranger, mixer and engineer David Baron have teamed up again on 'Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)' their own rendition of the original by Kate Bush released on 30 August via Here and Now Recordings.

Theresa Caputo, from TLC's hit show, Long Island Medium, will be appearing live at Shea's Performing Arts Center on Saturday, November 23rd at 7:30pm and Sunday, November 24th at 3pm.

 Comedy Central today ordered a 10-episode second season of hit series South Side, the aspirational, scripted comedy set in and around the working class neighborhood of Englewood on the South Side of Chicago.
