Ukulele superstar Jake Shimabukuro, one of the most exceptional and innovative ukulele players in the history of the instrument, brings his virtuosic playing to Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre in Malibu to kick off the 2021–2022 season at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 8 p.m. and Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 8 p.m.

The producers announced today that Jimmy Buffett’s ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE will drop anchor at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center from August 31 – September 5, 2021, before setting sail on a final 12-week tour that will visit more than 20 cities this fall including Phoenix, Kansas City, New Orleans, Hartford, Durham and Buffalo, to name a few.

Jimmy Buffett's Escape To Margaritaville – where people go to get away from it all…and stay to find something they never expected! This funny, yet heartwarming, musical tells of the story of a part-time bartender/singer who falls for a career-minded tourist and features the most-loved Jimmy Buffett classics, including Cheeseburger In Paradise, Fins, Volcano, Margaritaville and more.

With direction by Richard J. Hinds (Ogunquit Playhouse’s Mamma Mia!) and choreography by Brandon Kelly (Remix at Carowinds), your cares are guaranteed to melt away like sunsets over the beach.

State Theatre New Jersey will present Jimmy Buffett’s Escape To Margaritaville for five performances on Sunday, October 8, 2021, at 8pm; Saturday, October 9 at 2pm and 8pm; and Sunday, October 10 at 2pm. Tickets for the general public go on sale this Friday, August 6 at 11am. Tickets range from $40-$98.

Escape to Margaritaville follows Tully, JD, Brick, Jamal, and Marley as they welcome a revolving door of vacationers to the Margaritaville hotel, blissfully unaware that the impending arrival of Rachel and Tammy will turn their world upside down.

As it becomes safe to gather in groups again, Starlight has announced that it will open to full capacity in June and invites Kansas Citians to Think Outside and Think Starlight as it prepares to host live entertainment for the first time since before the pandemic began.  The historic theatre celebrates its 70th year of Broadway under the stars in 2021.
