The 2019-20 Sabates Eye Centers Kansas City Broadway Series is proud to announce the 2019-20 Kansas City Broadway Series, presented by Broadway Across America and The American Theatre Guild at the Music Hall and Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.  Joining previously announced DEAR EVAN HANSEN and Disney's ALADDIN are COME FROM AWAY, MISS SAIGON, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. There will be a season add-on show that will be announced at a later date.

Producers Hal Luftig and Jana Robbins in association with Sandy Block announced today that the Stage 42 Box Office (422 W 42nd St) officially opens tomorrow Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10AM for Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish. The production will begin performances on Monday, February 11, 2019, open officially on Thursday, February 21, 2019 and will play a limited engagement through June 30, 2019. Based on Sholem Aleichem's series of short stories about Tevye the Dairyman, Fiddler on the Roof centers on Tevye, a poor milkman who lives in pre-revolutionary Russia with his wife and five daughters. Among the traditions in their little village of Anatevka, the matchmaker arranges a match between a boy and a girl, and the father must approve the arranged marriage. However, Tevye must cope with both the strong-willed actions of his three eldest daughters who wish to marry for love and outside influences of the Tsar who intrude upon his village.
