The 2019-20 Sabates Eye Centers Kansas City Broadway Series is proud to announce the 2019-20 Kansas City Broadway Series, presented by Broadway Across America and The American Theatre Guild at the Music Hall and Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.  Joining previously announced DEAR EVAN HANSEN and Disney's ALADDIN are COME FROM AWAY, MISS SAIGON, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. There will be a season add-on show that will be announced at a later date.

Singer/Actress, Jennifer Roberts, celebrates the work of Broadway icon Sheldon Harnick in She Loves…  Sheldon! with One More Show Only at The Laurie Beechman Theatre, Tuesday, February 5th at 7 PM. The show is directed by Lance Roberts, with music director/pianist, Tedd Firth, and Phil Palombi on bass.

TheaterWorksUSA announces their newest partnership with Writers House and Scholastic, the global children's publishing, education, and media company, by securing the rights to adapt the worldwide bestseller DOG MAN by Dav Pilkey for the stage.

San Francisco's 42nd Street Moon (Daren A.C. Carollo and Daniel Thomas, Co-Executive Directors) has announced the full cast and creative team for Moon's first 2019 production, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical FIORELLO!

Producers Hal Luftig and Jana Robbins in association with Sandy Block announced today that the Stage 42 Box Office (422 W 42nd St) officially opens tomorrow Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10AM for Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish. The production will begin performances on Monday, February 11, 2019, open officially on Thursday, February 21, 2019 and will play a limited engagement through June 30, 2019. Based on Sholem Aleichem's series of short stories about Tevye the Dairyman, Fiddler on the Roof centers on Tevye, a poor milkman who lives in pre-revolutionary Russia with his wife and five daughters. Among the traditions in their little village of Anatevka, the matchmaker arranges a match between a boy and a girl, and the father must approve the arranged marriage. However, Tevye must cope with both the strong-willed actions of his three eldest daughters who wish to marry for love and outside influences of the Tsar who intrude upon his village.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 34 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2019 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 21 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

The Tony Award-Winning Musical She Loves Me, with book by Joe Masteroff, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, based on the 1937 play Perfumerie by Miklos Laszlo directed and choreographed by Cate Caplin, Musical Direction by Anthony Lucca, produced by Crystal Jackson, tells the beloved story of two feuding shop clerks who are unaware that they are the recipients of each other's love letters. 

The Dramatists Guild of America is the originator of the Dramatists Guild Fellows program, with a mission is to enhance the sense of community among developing American dramatists by offering a year-long workshop designed to augment their training with practical experience and career information resources.

Fiddler on the Roof is one of the most iconic and memorable shows in the musical theatre cannon, having originated on Broadway over 50 years ago and seen scores of revivals, and a feature length film, in the intervening years. The production currently playing at Rochester's Auditorium Theatre until December 16th is a rich and powerful experience, unlike any production of Fiddler you've ever seen before.

Tickets for the uptown transfer of the critically-acclaimed National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene production of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish will go on sale to the public beginning on Monday, December 17, 2018.
