The three-day event begins with the company launch and fundraiser on Saturday, May 18 at 7pm, followed by two free staged public readings of two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Richard Wilbur's translation of Moliere's THE MISANTHROPE, directed by Moliere in the Park's Founding Artistic Director Lucie Tiberghien, with original songs by Tony and two-time Obie Award winner Stew, on Sunday, May 19 at 7pm and Monday, May 20 at 7pm. DIG, written and directed by Theresa Rebeck (July 11-27, 2019), and MRS. CHRISTIE by Heidi Armbruster (August 1-17, 2019) fall between the Festival's previously announced runs of Noel Coward's PRIVATE LIVES (June 20-July 6, 2019) and SLOW FOOD by Wendy MacLeod (August 22-31, 2019) at the Dorset Playhouse (104 Cheney Road, Dorset, VT 05251). Westwood's Geffen Playhouse is presenting the World Premiere of ICEBERGS written by Alena Smith and directed by Randall Arney through December 18. This biting new play is set in the Silver Lake community of Los Angeles, California, where the weather is always nice and the future looks bright…at least on the surface. This acerbic, affectionate and affecting world premiere comedy takes place on a warm November night, centering on a new generation of thirtysomethings as they navigate filmmaking, family planning, and global warming, all the while trying to put down roots before everything melts away.
