24-year-old jazz sensation Samara Joy graces the stage in her Miami premier performance at the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17.

GLAAD, the world's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) media advocacy organization, has announced the nominees for the 35th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, including five Broadway shows, Billy Porter, Reneé Rapp, The Color Purple, High School Musical the Musical the Series, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, and more.

BroadwayWorld has learned that the musical adaptation of The Great Gatsby is headed to Broadway this year. The production, led by Jeremy Jordan and Eva Noblezada, had its pre-Broadway engagement at the Paper Mill Playhouse in 2023.

Elton John is now an EGOT. He won a Tony Award in 2000 for Best Original Score for Aida with Tim Rice. He was awarded with his first Oscar in 1995 for 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight' from the Lion King. Other EGOT winners include Viola Davis, Whoopi Goldberg, Marvin Hamlisch, Helen Hayes, Alan Menken, Rita Moreno, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and more.

Superpower (I) features a tour de force performance by Fantasia, the film's central star. Written and produced by lauded hitmaker The-Dream (Rhianna, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey), the song unites all the emotion of the film into a powerful crescendo and has been shortlisted for Oscar consideration. On Monday, December 18th, 2023 The Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH), hosted a night of holiday entertainment hosted by actor Ethan Hawke. The theatre's annual show was dedicated to longtime trustee Andre Braugher who sadly recently passed away. CTH will be dedicating their entire 2024 season to the actor.

Although it may be a new year, a few classics are returning to streaming services, giving Broadway fans the perfect throwback binge list.
